About Me
They have united: Vocalist/guitarist Marci Star, Guitarist Candice Levinson, Drummer Rebecca Gibb, Guitarist Ezrah
Lockwood, and Bassist Chris McKee. Combining classic rock with modern sounds, TWIN STICKS creates some of the
strongest rock you’ll hear; equal parts Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden. Big aspirations, but
certainly achievable with Twin Sticks’ gigantic sound. They are currently working with Germs, Nirvana, Foo Fighters
legend Pat Smear, and renowned producer Ross Hogarth who has worked with such artists as The Bronx, John
Mellencamp, Coal Chamber, Jewel, Motley Crue and Ziggy Marley just to name a few. Look for a live DVD recording
available soon.
Twin Sticks drummer Rebecca got her second X chromosome from John Gibb, her father- singer/guitarist from
Toronto’s Battered Wives. Claiming John Bonham as her idol, it’s clear that Rebecca was raised on the rock n’ roll
basics. Some may recognize her from the band Harlow from VH1’s Bands on the Run. This tiny Canadian, often
compared to Animal from the Muppets, hits hard and puts the boys to shame.
Candice gained notoriety playing the South Bay scene with bands Dirty Laundry and Big Lucy. Influenced by
aggressive styles, her distinctive leads and tasteful hooks help define the band’s sound. When not shredding killer
guitar, this French beauty can be found skateboarding in empty pools. Candice’s Personal Phone- (310) 217-7638,
just in case you need a sexy car mechanic.
Rumor has it Ezrah Lockwood was born soloing on his umbilical cord. His gritty intuition and menacing riffs puts one
of the Sticks in TWIN STICKS. This sleazy and easy to please East Coaster’s favorite beverage is Jack Daniels or
anything at an open bar. Last seen wearing a Speedo with added potato, someone had to tell him, “That goes in the
front, dude.â€
Chris is a recent transplant from Boston. With many years of bass experience and many bands under his belt, his style
shows a variety of different influences. His solid playing puts the “mmmm†in rhythm. Chris gets around LA riding his
big wheel to avoid getting a DUI. His biggest dream is to get on “Pimp my Big Wheel.†After all, he does put the other
stick in TWIN STICKS.
Marci spent 3 years as a club DJ in CO., and after hearing a bootleg of Ezrah’s solo on his umbilical cord, she sold her
turntables and six disco-biscuits for an electric guitar. As for Marci’s vocals, after one listen, you’ll be captivated by her
raw talent. Her emotions bleed through the melodies and words. This emotional basket case is your best friend and
worst enemy, hiding the considerable depths of her character behind a curtain of frivolity. We strongly advise against
playing hide and seek with her.
