About Me

Hi all, My name is Wes (Wesley) Barber. I was born and raised in Texas, mostly Houston. I started playing guitar when I was about 12 or 13 and I haven't stopped since. I am self-taught and I don't dabble much in all the music theory side but I know enough to get by. Other than that, I just play what I think sounds right. I might not do everything correctly but I make it work for me. I love Blues, Jazz, and Rock and I think my material sort of mixes it all together. I like the improv side and I also enjoy jam bands (within moderation). I like anything in music that supports musical freedom and expression. I like to think outside of the box...at least I'd like to *think* I think outside the box. I really hope you like what you hear. Any tunes I post up here will definately be raw and unfinished, or what I like to call "works in progress". I am a drummer with about 15+ years of experience but I don't have the means to record live drums so I use loops for now. It's a sad thing to admit but it's true. Unfortunately, it's also obvious. Still, enjoy the tunes. Feedback is welcomed. - God BlessOne Day (new single)
