About Me

FEATURED ARTIST!!!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

About Wan... There are soooo many different facets to Wan... where to begin...

Being a LOVER of Music a CONNOISSEUR if you will, I wanted to create a way of sharing some great music that I've come across. Showcase some GREAT Independent Artists of all different genres and styles.

On the personal side...

Currently I reside in two states; Washington (Seattle area) and Ohio in between this I make frequent stops in HOTLanta (gotta get that way soon)

My friends say I am a reality giver - I'm the one who tells you the shameless truth but in a nice, neat package, or small dosage thats easy to swallow. Outside of this I'm a people watcher...I observe behaviors, the way a person sits or stands, their writing style, the people they surround themselves with, their interaction with those people. I analyze some or all of this and can usually tell quite alot about the person. Sometimes its just interesting to see the effect that a person has in the lives of others. To that I say be the best at being YOU because you never know who's watching or whose life you're affecting.

I'm a lover of arts & music - I have been exposed to both since birth and I'm not sure I could survive without either. (CHECK OUT MY TOP 10 MUSIC LIST - IT ROTATES OFTEN)

I'm a worshipper, a true & loyal friend, a giver, a teacher, a leader, a photographer, a traveler, a sister (to some my parents didnt conceive LOL), an advisor (and yes I give it out sometimes when you dont ask for it LOL).

By profession I'm a Technical Project Mgr - I've worked for and/or on projects various huge corporate comglomerates (software, music, computer, airline) and I've worked for not so huge barely there companies, I've worked for ministries, non-profits etc... Sufficed to say this has allowed me to meet & network with a whole lot of people. I have seen the flaws of the rich & famous and the short-comings of the common man; this has allowed me the good judgment of taking each person as an individual and not setting any expectations out because of who a person is, what they have or dont have, or what they do for a living.

My Interests

I like meeting new & interesting people, capable of ACCEPTING & RECIPROCATING good friendship. I have such a vast array of interests - as I consider myself to be open-minded and I'm willing to try many new things. I spend a lot of time behind the camera capturing life in motion. I LOVE to travel - the Caribbean is definitely my favorite stop. I love the NBA (GO LAKERS!!!!)

I'd like to meet:

I'm of the belief that laughter is the fuel of life. So any person that can assist me in my life's quest not to "run out of gas" is alright with me.

Strong sista's capable of receiving and reciprocating good friendship. Brothas who can surrender to supporting and friendship, long enough to forget about the conquest of the booty (if you gotta ask, this is probably you LOL)

Music:

***HIT THE BLOG FOR THE MASON***

I LOVE all types of music, its a part of my daily life, my father introduced me to music & art right from my birth. While he doesnt paint much anymore, he's an excellent painter, naturally gifted artist.

Whats rotating from my collection this week, SOME of my FAVORITE GOSPEL music artists past & present my TOP 10:

1. The Caravans - Best of the Caravans (Still Praising: I Wont Be Back, Oh Mary Dont You Weep, To Whom Shall I Turn, No Coward Soldier) Yeah for some of you this is wayyyy before ya time. But Inez, Shirley, Dorothy, Albertina.... while luvly individually these sistas worked it back in the day.

2. Shekinah Glory Ministy - Praise Is What I Do (Takin Me In: YES, Praise Is What I Do, Reign Jesus) If you havent said 'YES' whewwwwwww, that thang takes a sista all the way in

3. Fred Hammond - Pages of Life (Doin it for me STILL: You Were Much Closer, Your Steps Are Ordered, You Called Me Friend) I 'like' the new cd Free to Worship - but I LOVE this one, I find myself listening to the older Fred more often.

4. The Clark Sisters - Count It All Joy/You Brought The Sunshine (C'mon Worship: A Praying Spirit, Overdose of the Holy Ghost, Walking in the Spirit, Crown Him Lord of All) I dont think its possible to have a gospel list and not include Mattie's girls, they have influenced and impacted what we know as gospel BIG TIME.

5. Mary Mary - Incredible (The Move: I Try, God Has Smiled On Me, Thank You) What can I say...they just do it for me. I've picked up every project they put it out; pure, sincere, WORSHIP!!

6. Kirk Franklin - Hero (JAMMIN!!!: Imagine Me, Could've Been, Hero) Now I LOVE many things that Kirk has put out and this is in my opinion not necessarily his best... I like his old stuff with The Family but 'Imagine Me' just meets me, gotta give a brotha his props for this one

7. Michelle Lang & Still Water - PAINT (Cuts Set It OFF!!!: More Than Anything, Full Attention, One Step, Hero) Not YET mainstream gospel - but definitely a must have for your collection. Check them out you'll find the realism meets you right at your situation.Michelle Lang & Still Water Concert Footage

8. Yolanda Adams - The Essential Yolanda Adams (Pure, Unhampered...Strong: Let Us Worship Him, The Battle Is The Lords, The Lord is With Us In This Place) Another case of where I LOVE every project and I had a hard time picking just one for this list, girlfriend is just badddddd

9. The Winans - The Very Best of the Winans (True Flava: Uphold Me, Aint No Need to Worry, The Question Is) Another case of couldnt have a gospel list without 'em. There influence and impact has been phenomenal.

10. Mississippi Mass Choir - Greatest Hits (Still Doin It: Having You There, Call Him Up, Joy) I'm not necessarily big on choirs outside of the 4 walls of church... dont buy many 'choir' projects; but of those I own Mississippi Mass still does it for me...they still JAMMIN!

Movies:

I still Love the Color Purple, Jason's Lyric, Love Jones, Lucky Number Slevin, The Pursuite of Happiness, SEVEN, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Baby Boy (Ving Rhames in that Apron... awwwww LAWD!!!!) Okay I'm back now LMBO
