Frankie Sabath, born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, started his professional entertainment career as a 16 years old teenager with The Kids From Ponce a group whose popularity soared through their many television appearances and live appearances in Puerto Rico and abroad.

The group which performed for three years on programs by producers Luis Vigoreaux, Tommy Tommy Muniz and Paquito Cordero among others, separated after three years with three soloist emerging that included Jose Manuel Zambrana, now deceased, the well-known Puerto Rican singer, Ednita Nazario and Frankie Sabath.

After a successful period in which Frankie Sabath appeared frequently on Puerto Rican television in addition to releasing two hit songs entitled, Se Te Hizo Tarde, Cuando Me Pidas Perdon well as headlining on many events. Sabath decided to move to the U.S. and in 1985 he would debut at the request of his friend Ernesto Tarre, where he performed a couple of songs at the Hispanic American Queen of the Flowers Pageant.

Frankie Sabath first full show in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States of America. Reinado Hispano Americano de las Flores, which was organized Ernesto Tarre. This rear footage film by a member of the audience, features Frankie Sabath first full performance, where he walk the floor surrounded by his body guard and other security staff as he performs, the reaction of the 1200+ people was clear. They new he was more than a singer, he was a Performer.

His demure, suave style, and romantic show immediately got the attention and popularity of Chicago television audiences. In 1986, he created the The Milwaukee Sound a group of selected musicians from Milwaukee, including some with Milwaukee Conservatory of Music background such as the well-known musician and conductor, Carol Klose.

Sabath headlined at Fiesta Mexicana in 1986 with Johnny Rodriguez and in 1987 with Freddy Fender.

Now nicknamed, Milwaukee's Frank Sinatra, Sabath also appeared at Rainbow Summer which was sponsored by the Milwaukee Journal and held at the Performing Arts Center.

During the year 1988, while working in his first record release in the USA, and making his debut as an actor in the musical Working, by Stud Terkel, where he played the character of Emilio Hernandez, his father passed away.

It took Frankie Sabath some two years before he returned to the entertainment world.

In 1991, after a an article appeared in the Milwaukee Sentinel talking about his career and comeback, tragedy struck again, his mother, who was residing in Milwaukee at the time, passed away.

It would take him another Frankie Sabath 15 years before Sabath was offered and accepted to perform again in concert, along with a hand picked orchestra headed by conductor, Sergio "Veneno" Poventud that was presented at Milwaukee's United Community Center Latino Arts venue on Friday, October 17, 2003 at its Auditorium located at 1028 So. 9th Street.

On 2004 he headlined at Fiesta Boricua along with Alex D'Castro and Wichy Camacho.

He returned to Fiesta Boricua on 2005 headlining along with La India.

He presented his final performance at Fiesta Boricua on 2006 with a large production and extravagant presentation with some of the best musicians from Milwaukee, Illinois and Puerto Rico, such as Luisito Gonzalez, first trumpet of the Willie Rosario Orchestra, el maestro Alberto Rivera, Old School Orchestra, the well known Sergio Poventud, Orquesta Veneno. The number included the participation of Milwaukee's "Grupo de Bomba y Plena" directed by Virginia Santiago

The show also included confetti cannons, a gigantic Puerto Rican flag and 12 dancers, with the showing of a video projected on two large video screens, one a tribute to all Puerto Rican musicians that has passed both here in Milwaukee as well as Puerto Rico. Although he is not planning to return to Fiesta Boricua, he is working on a couple of projects, one so far scheduled for February 2007 when he returns to the United Community Center's Latino Arts, with a concert of Carlos Gardel's tangos and a guest star performance on January 19, 2007 at Carmen la Salsera's CD release show at Belize in Milwaukee. He is also working on a CD he expects to have on the market by February 2007.

La India and Frankie Sabath headlines at Fiesta Boricua Sept 3, 2005. Milwaukee Wisconsin. Frankie Sabath was born in Ponce Puerto Rico and is former member of the musical sensation created by producer Tony Morales, The Kids From Ponce. Other members of the Kids From Ponce Jose Manuel Zambrana, Papo Bermudez, Wensley Bellido, Carlos Ramos, Edgar Delgado and Ednita Nazario. He graduated from the Ponce High School on 1969.
