My name is Joey Buksar but some know me as The Phoenix Butterfly. Im not just a DJ but Im also a TURNTABLIST!!!...... I spin records creating a seamless mix of excellence and complete perfection unlike the majority of most so called Djs out there now. I dont and will not use cds, laptops or ipods( these tools can be an essential for certain genres, skill and levels however , they have been highly and sadly abused)...if the club doesn't have decks, Ill bring my own. Everything I create is solely based on using vinyl, two turntables, one mixer with no special sound effects and my imagination.________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ DJ ALF: Digital technology, a wonderful discovery made decades ago. I've noticed a lot of DJ's have turned to inventions such as Serato Scratch. What is your overall opinion not only about Serato, but digital DJing in general? D-Styles: I don't like the whole Digital DJ thing. One thing I hate about it is how everyone is a DJ now. I walk thru the mall and I look into a clothing store. They have a DJ in there with 2 ipods or 2 CD-Js. It gave birth to all these clowns who have no record collection and no mixing skills. Ive come to a stop and realized its pointless to have a bio on here, especially some third person written typed bio in hopes of everyone who looks at it to think Im an outstanding , super cool DJ like the rest of these talentless trend followers . PLEASE!!! I want nothing to do with that...There's more to me than using false, misleading words are as gimmick for a rise to popularity. There's a reason why people have always classified and compared me to the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Jimmy Van M, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman,Max Graham, James Lavelle or the most heard one.... Sasha and John Digweeds retirement plan ...... Not many can categorize theirselves in this profession releasing or expressing the feelings of emotions when spinning in the way that I do . When I scratch its more then just moving a record and cutting . I manipulate the properties of music through speeds and sound comparable to as if a singer projects feelings in their voice and directs it through a microphone, my choice is through turntables and records creating a musical realization of self emotion . Every song after one another displays a story to each chapter...There's more to it then just mixing and matching beats...apparently the world has forgotten that...Words are meaningless and they could never properly describe the outcome of my paintings. If you are one of those people who are filled with ignorance and have nothing better to do besides talking shit while being jealous ...FUCK OFF!!! When the opportunity was there for the challenge , not one Dj from the so called best/most popular ranging in NJ,NY,CT,RI,MA(you know who you are) dared to accept.
