Keith Miller, a string bassist originally from St. Louis Missouri, has performed with a variety of ensembles spanning many genres. These ensembles include Scottish Traditional, jazz, classical, folk, blues and rock, among other genres. Miller is also an active composer, and is currently working on a project of original compositions that will be recorded with Venezuelan guitarist, Alvaro Paiva Bimbo, and Canadian pianist, Marianne Trudel. Most recently he was a semi-finalist in the 2005 Sphinx Competition. Miller has also been a recipient of many other awards, and has placed and has been winner of many local performance competitions. Keith is currently studying under Diana Gannett and Robert Hurst as he pursues his master’s degree at the University of Michigan.
