About Me

*******Biography in English*******
Singer, producer, businesswoman, passionate, real and unfiltered, that is how one can best describe ANA ALICIA , an artist who represents young Latinas growing up in the United States under the influence of Mexican culture and the at times difficult transition from a more conservative generation to an altogether more aggressive way of life. With the delicateness of a flower, she expresses the emotions of her life with infinite passion on her new album MISS ANA ALICIA SIONEZ with original lyrics based on her raw, real life experiences hip-hop beats that invite you to dance, and with the language from the barrio expressing her deep emotions and intricate way of life. MISS ANA ALICIA SIONEZ is a musical representation of her young fans who experience the daily twists and turns of falling in and out of love. Before completing her new album, which is being launched on Univision Records , the talented ANA ALICIA had to go through "countless experiences, failures, deceptions, and a lot of tears," as she puts it despite the hardships she has also made several important accomplishments including becoming the owner of her own label, DFWU . As composer and arranger, ANA ALICIA was heavily involved in creating the album's 12 songs, sharing credits on Caja d Pandora and Abel y Kain with Damon Elliot (an acclaimed producer known for working with internationally known artists such as Mya, Pink, Beyoncé, Jessica Simpson and more), whom she proudly calls "her godfather."Tired of working around other peoples projects and schedules, Ana Alicia decided to executive produce her own albums; in addition to investing her savings and dreams, she invests her talent and heart, which inherently express freedom, rebellion, dreams, solitude, and the pain that has emerged as a result of love. The first single Muere lento mi amor, a song that is representative of the themes on the album, speaks on these very subjects, a song which openly reveals the sensitive yet raw personality of ANA ALICIA, who employs aggressive hip-hop rhythms while interpreting her own personal experiences in a unique and thought-provoking manner.

Influences: My biggest influence was my dad playing the guitar everyday in my house since I could remember. I could name drop artist who I have never met but admire their music, but I believe that art is life and that the best singers, actors, rappers, painters, are somewhere doing something else because they got trapped in the cycle of life. But I will not avoid the question and name some artist who have and keep on inspiring me. In truth there are soo many, where do I begin. I'll start with my genre. I love Pitbull, being able to flip it in English and Spanish with his impeccable animated, feel good flow. I love Yankee but the songs on his albums with lyrical deep content, I mean "Gasolina" is radio, but I think he's so much more than that, I love his analogies, he's very poetic. Tego Calderons tone is so chill and cool, he's timing is impressive, he makes music seem effortless. Don Omar pain and deep side kill me. I know how hard it is to be in a male dominated industry. So to the first Latin female rapper in my eyes who is so raw, Ivy Queen really gave a female point of view without playing us, tough but with heart, I have nothing but the utmost respect for her. I also love Mala Rodriguez, when I saw her perform in L.A. a couple years ago, I was so inspired. At that time I was like that's point C, I'm at point A,where do I get the B.? I could go on and on about people I feel, I could really go into genres and start describing everybody and what I love from them, but I'll leave you with a couple more names instead: Silvio Rodriguez,Juan Gabriel, Joan Sebastian, Marco Antonio Solis, Lauren Hill, Eve, Bebe, Bobby Mcferen, Henry Manzini, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Armando Manzanero, Mana,Shakira, Soraya, Da' Brat, Tupac, Los Tucanes, Alejandro Fernandez, N.W.A., Buena Vista Social Club, Yerba Buena, Calle 13,Too short, Sugar Hill Gang, Montez de Durango, Mobb Deep, Tierra Blanca,Jay Z, Eminem, I really could go on for pages and pages. Music has become my life and it's like candy to me, every time I listen to new stuff, I'm so intrigued. I am influenced by so many different cultures; better yet I am influenced by the sounds of humanity. I've gotten to fall in love with the kid in some unnamed city, the ones who formed my backbone; he and she are the why behind, the art staying alive. So I thank them, because they have been my biggest influence!
