---Lately I've been real interested about learning about the past. Not just of my people or this country, but of the whole world because knowing the past better helps understanding our present while at the same time preparing for the future. I must say though after all the reading I have done about this country, I still haven't experienced this "freedom" this nation was originally built on. Maybe because our people have been slaves for so long and even to this day; secretly by the government. I guess this government is the reason I'm even into business, politics, and other current affairs across the world. It helps me to understand just how ignorant some people in power can be.
What Type of Person Is Ken?
You are The wanderer - The lost
.
The one who never has a place to belong. The outcast amongst people, Wanderers find life to be rather lonely. There is an empty feeling inside of them that they can't seem to get rid of. However, not all is pain for them. Despite what others might think, they are very much capable of being happy and sad. Due to the fact that Wanderers always feel misplaced -to some extent- some adjust to how others are, just to have a place to be. The others in this category tend to shy away from people, preferring their own company, certain that they don't fit in. Both categories however, do keep most of their personal thoughts inside.
Wanderers tend to wish for a place where they are meant to be, resulting in a lot of daydreaming. Personality wise they are, in fact, dreamers. It doesn't mean they believe that they wish for will come true. Their inner world is simply better than this one. Most Wanderers try to find their special place, no matter if they are a passive-aggressive or a fearless individual. It is something they are drawn to do by nature.
Wanderers are also found to be hard to truly satisfy. Nothing will ever be the way they would have preferred/wanted it to be, and they tend to be disappointed a lot. It is not that they are perfectionists, they simply want for something to feel "right". Because of this, they often second-guess things/actions/relationships. Low self-esteem is a high possibility, as they often doubt themselves.
As their hole in their heart is constantly there, they may be prone for depression, as rarely anything is giving them true satisfaction. One day they may find their personal heaven, but it is important they are not too caught up in fantasies, or else they might pass by it blindly, missing it forever.
Quote: "Illusion is the first of all pleasures." -Oscar Wilde
This will be short because most of the people I would like to have met are dead now (some because of our government) but really any leader, especially civil rights and any socialist/anarchist/revolutionary for they know what their people want. I don't really like listing names so I'll just generally say anyone who stands for what they believe in, no matter what the situation may bring, for that shows true strength and integrity.
Really, I like to meet all types of people, as long as they are honest with themselves as well as others. There's no point in me wasting my time talking to someone who can't even look at themself in the mirror and find out what they want out of their life or can evaluate themself and find their strengths and weaknesses. I like meeting people who are down to earth, know what's going on around them, but most of all, people that care about themselves and others, things of that nature.
Oh yeah, this is a video from another unsigned artist who should be, Cutty Lue. It's called "My Life". Check it out.

First off, I must say that I refuse and don't even understand how some people can listen to this "gangsta rap". Most of this mainstream hip-hop being played is just materialistic garbage. I mean, do you really enjoy listening to songs that tell how great and rich this rapper is doing? If not then I suggest listening to Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, The Roots, Dead Prez, and Immortal Technique just to name a few.
Unfortunately since hip-hop is slowly dying by alot of these talentless rappers, I've been forced to open my mind to new types of music, especially jazz, R & B, rock, and blues. Now I mostly listen to anything that has a message or a good vibe to it.
Now and then I do take an occasional break and head down to see some movies, but with all the constant blockbusters that busted no blocks whatsoever, most of the movies nowadays are not even worth the distance to the theatres. But a little taste of my list of movies are Scarface, Braveheart, Roots, Malcolm X (A classic), Star Wars, all of Bruce Lee's movies and other martial arts movies, and I was recommended to go see "A Huey P. Newton Story" which I thought was incredibly deep and true. I also like comedies, action/adventures, suspense/horror, and military/war movies but like I said before: I'm not huge on making long lists. If you still want to know more movies I like though, feel free to ask me.
I don't watch that much TV unless a movie that I really enjoy is on. Otherwise I would watch TV when either a show is discussing ethnic issues, whether they be current or past affairs, or if the news is on. Luckily I just found a station that tells the "whole" story on current world affairs and not just the biased half-written stories I watch on my local news. It makes me wonder what are they trying so hard to hide from its viewers?
But again, for me, TV can also be a recreation as well. Whenever I can I watch certain sitcoms to lift my spirits up from the mundane reality of society. I also enjoy watching shows on Comedy Central like Mad TV, The Daily Show, and the Colbert Report to cartoons such as The Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, and especially The Boondocks.
There's so many books that have kept me knowledgable that it would be very difficult to acknowledge them all. I can mostly be caught reading on my favorite leaders including Huey Newton, Angela Davis, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Malcolm X.
When I'm not reading autobiographies or biographies, I can usually be found writing my own poems because I've been so heavily influenced by quotes and works of Langston Hughes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Khalil Gibran, and Maya Angelou to name a few. I recommend that if you ever have free time, just hop on the Internet and read some of the stories they wrote. Truly inspirational.
This one is a given if you've already read about me up to this point. Leaders, no matter how small or well-known, you deserve to be a hero for you have a unique power of seeing things differently and can influence others to open their eyes to any hidden injustices by your oppositionists. Other heroes include people who act like themselves and refuse to be someone they're not, people who are goal-oriented and will do anything in their power to reach them, but most of all people who can stand up for what they believe in, because when you stand for something that's right, the worst that can happen is you'll have someone else continue where you left off.
