Pure Harmony

The Real Pure Harmony

About Me

"Still doing this for fun... still having fun doing this."
With more than 15 years of experience behind them, the A'capella singing group "Pure Harmony" has always been singing for fun. The foundation of this group is based on two major concepts, the love for singing and strength of friendship. After many talks and discussions, these four friends decided to turn professional 3 years ago. Bringing to the table many different classifications of music, Pure Harmony specializes in mixing A'capella harmonies with R&B and acoustic sounds. Inspired by the Temptations, Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, and many others, Pure Harmony looks to preserve the sound that helped strengthen their group.
Pure Harmony released their first single in Hawaii and California in November 1998. "No Need To Rush" received tremendous radio support and hit number 3 on the local charts. Since then Pure Harmony signed with Kamikaze Records releasing another hit, a remake of the song "If", a smooth sensuous A'capella ballad later remixed with an irresistible dance track, both featured on the compilation Project Kamikaze. Receiving a huge response from DJs, mixshows, and clubs throughout the country, Pure Harmony was flattered with the public's embrace of the song, which summarized the groups stylistic aesthetic. Their next single "Sitting Here" was released on Project Kamikaze Vol. 2. Again Pure Harmony shocked their audiences with an A'capella sound that ignored neither the harmonies nor the lead vocals, allowing the meaning of the song to echo in the soul. Currently working on their first album, Pure Harmony promises a variety of songs.
Pure Harmony's first performance was at the Cow Palace in 1993's Fiesta Islands. Since then, Pure Harmony has appeared all throughout California, Hawaii, and Canada, including reappearances at the Cow Palace, Mornings On 2, and various spots on TFC.
"We remember watching TFC (The Filipino Channel) and seeing a group in the Philippines performing one of our songs, it was one of the most flattering things to witness, and not to mention shocking. Who would have thought that we could touch a group in the Philippines?" Pure Harmony remarks.
Inspiring musicians has always humbled the members of Pure Harmony. And since they have been around for awhile, they have inspired many artists who have crossed their paths, soloists and singing group alike.
"To hear someone say that we're the reason why they wanted to learn how to sing and harmonize, is touching beyond all words... humbling in many ways."
Pure Harmony's talent goes beyond just singing. They are students of the art, writing a majority of their own songs and music along with being avid musicians and producers. The group consists of four members known as Heart (G-Sak), Mind (Ron), Body (B) and Soul (Phil). Look for their self-titled debut album "Pure Harmony" to be released in the summer of 2007. Combining smooth vocals, heart felt lyrics, and strongly orchestrated production, Pure Harmony will leave you with a timeless, breath taking audio experience.
"Harmony is alive; Heart, Mind, Body and Soul. You need all four parts to achieve Pure Harmony."
