I am here for Friends

About Me

My dad joined the US Air Force before I was born, so I was a military brat from the start. We lived in several different states and at three different military bases in Germany - Hahn, Bitburg and Ramstein.
Attended middle and part of High School at Hahn AB, then finished High School in Bitburg.Attended a community college in San Antonio for a couple years and joined my parents as they went back to Germany and were stationed at Ramstein. I lived and attended college in Mannheim during that time. After earning my Associates, I returned to the states and earned my Bachelors at Lock Haven University in PA.
After finishing college I was to move to NC with my best friend Sara. However, she was not done with college and I had NO money, so we couldn't go right away. My dad had just retired from the Air Force and my parents had moved to CT. I moved back in with them to save up some money so that when Sara was done with her schooling, we'd be all set to go.
I had to get a job and didn't want to get anything too serious as I figured I was only going to be in CT for 6 months to a year. So I got a job at a roller skating rink.
I was introduced to the DJ (whose name is DJ) and was instantly smitten.I worked in the office, and one Sunday night he came in and we talked for a couple hours. We found that we had a great deal in common. He asked me out on a date and five months later we were engaged.
We married September 2002, and I welcomed his son with open arms. We had a son together in Jan. 2006 and now have a wonderful little family. My sister settled here, too. In fact, she married my husband's cousin, so she and I are cousins too. We get to go to a lot of the same family functions together!!
My dad just recently took a job Alaska, so they moved up there. Dad just loves it. I hope that one day we will get to visit them.
I am anxious to meet up with old friends here and welcome any of them to give me a shout!

Just 10 minutes after I posted the last blog, my dog came home.  I was so happy I nearly cried.  Just thought I'd share the good news.
