About Me

Hello. We are

Breaking Ribs For Tom Thayer was formed in the summer of 2004, but did not complete their lineup until that November, when vocalist Matthew Elliott stepped into the frame. The band immediately began writing, and have since recorded two seperate demos, each consisting of three tracks. The three latest recordings, as well as one track from an earlier session, can be heard on this page.

I'm afraid the rumours are true. We've split up. Nothing in particular happened, things just went kinda stale. It happens. Nothing lasts forever. Thank you to everyone who ever came to see us, bought our CDs, sang along and supported us in any way. Also, a massive thank you to anyone who ever slagged us off for being "pretentious" or "too arty" or whatever; you gave us the fuel to carry on for so long. Rest assured, we'll all be back with various projects that will be just as adventurous and interesting as BRFTT. Sorry to anyone who was coming to the shows we had to cancel. We hope you won't hold it against us. See you all soon!

Blastwave.org.uk Review

"Northamptonshire is generally considered to be something of a cultural wasteland in terms of music. And with such bands as Raging Speedhorn and Defenestration being among the local musical heroes, it...

Well, this is our Myspace. I guess I should take this time to retract all my "Myspace is for losers" comments, eh? Love you all! Anyway, the basics are up. Eventually we'll post some songs up fo...
