Since almost 100 years radio is our companion. Although it is eclipsed a little in the past decades, at least in Europe, it still is an important means of propaganda in some countries. Presently China jams radio-shows of other countries in a massive way.
The Vatican operates its own propaganda-mechanism since 75 years, now in 40 languages and contaminates brains worldwide.
But there are even more aggressive Christian sects that are up to mischief with impunity on constitutional channels. And also the radio-channels everybody knows,a abuse the frequencies shot free and round the clock with their damnable repeat of banal music that is able to eat the brains of millions by and by.
Secret services communicate via number-channels with their agents and spies worldwide. In many cases one can hear them as a monotonic reciting of numbers in many languages. Pirate-stations are broadcasting in great quantities during the weekends. Many of them want to be seen as kind of a defiance of the systematic brainwashing by the VHF-stations and their dull attempts of entertainment with the same kind of music over and over again.
The value of broadcasting was recognized very early by a real pro of propaganda. Josef Goebbels said in April 1933:
Radio is the latest, if not the most successful means of manipulation of the masses.
With this he pinpointed the means that was lying at his feet. His presence in the media at that time surely was the catalyst for calling the VE301 snout of Goebbels in the vernacular. The term VE301 for this receiver again has its historic origin in the date of Hitlers takeover on the 30th of January in 1933.
Albert Einstein began his speech about the still new medium in 1930 with the famous words: Dear attendants and absents!
Lale Andeson is also a historic person who gained gigantic fame through radio in the 2nd World War. The song Lili Marleen is certainly still known by many people today.
All these people found a place on the CD.
It fascinates me since almost 2 decades. Its history, its sounds and its mysterious signals are my inspiration for this CD.

Seit fast 100 Jahren begleitet uns der Rundfunk. Obwohl in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten zumindest in Europa etwas in den Hintergrund geraten, ist er in anderen Ländern immer noch ein wichtiges Propagandainstrument.
China stört schon länger massiv Radiosendungen anderer Länder.
Der Vatikan unterhält bereits seit 75 Jahren seine eigenen, nun schon 40 sprachige, Propagandamaschine und verstrahlt auf der gesamten Welt Hirne.
Es gibt noch viele weitere aggressive christliche Sekten die ungestraft ihr Unwesen auf den naturgegebenen Frequenzen treiben.
Aber auch die normalen Radiosender missbrauchen ungestraft rund um die Uhr die Frequenzen mit ihrer in schändlicher Wiederholung gespielten banalen Musik.
Geheimdienste kommunizieren weltweit mittels Zahlensendern mit ihren Agenten und Spionen. Man kann sie an jedem Tag vielfach hören. In vielen sprachen werden monoton Zahlen vorgebetet. Auch Piratensender sind in besonders an den Wochenenden in großer Zahl zu hören. Viele verstehen sich auf eine art als Widerstand gegen die systematische Verdummung durch die UKW-Sender und deren stumpfe Unterhaltungsversuche mit der ewig gleichen Musik.
Der Wert des Rundfunks wurde schon recht früh von einem Propagandaprofi richtig erkannt.
Joseph Goebbels hat mit seinem Ausspruch im April 1933 :
"Der Rundfunk ist das modernste, ich darf wohl auch sagen, das erfolgreichste Massenbeeinflussungsmittel."
ziemlich genau erkannt welch ein mittel ihm hier zu Füßen gelegt wurde.
Seine damalige Medienpräsenz war sicher der Auslöser dafür dass man den VE301 im Volksmund die "Göbbelsschnauze" nannte. Der Name VE301 für den Volksempfänger hat wiederum seinen historischen Ursprung im Datum der Machtergreifung Adolf Hitlers am 30.01.1933
Aber auch Albert Einstein hat mit den wohl sehr bekannten Worten "verehrte an- und abwesende" eine Rede zu dem 1930 noch neuen Medium begonnen.
Auch Lale Andeson ist eine historische Person die durch das Radio einen gigantischen Ruhm während des zweiten Weltkrieges erlang. der Song "Lili Marleen" ist sicher auch heute vielen bekannt.
Die Kurzwelle pulsiert und lebt...
sie hält mich seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten fest in ihrem bann. deren Geschichte, deren Geräusche und geheimnisvollen Signale sind meine Inspiration für dieses Album
