About Me

On the internet I go by the alias JP8, named after my most favourite instrument, the Roland Jupiter 8 polyphonic analogue synthesizer, also known as the Rolls Royce amongst early analogue synthesizers... ;-) I'm very lucky to be one of the few owners/users of this magnificant instrument.
Yes, I've played in bands...a lot. No, I'm not curently in one. I'm looking though...but I'm still not sure what to go for this time. I've done (prog-)rock, metal, reggae, folk, new-age, dance productions (house) and a number of undefinable things. I don't see myself as a great performer, but more as 'the guy that puts the music together' or 'that lad that makes those off-world weird noises'...
Serious interest in my music is always appreciated and answered by a kind letter or e-mail. For the past few years most of my 'new' stuff got shelved until I will have gathered enough material to produce a (somehow homogenic) new album and deliver it to the record company (my latest album "Seasons and Sessions" is from 2002, so it's about time).
Lately I've been taken some time to be a dad rather than a composer, making money to pay the bills as a Quality Assurance & Safety officer. Now my son has reached the age of four, he'll be going to school and I'll be having more time to invest into production. Soon there will be some new (demo) material which I'll advertise here.
Cheers,
JP8
