HOT ROD FUNERAL

Down in the city

About Me

Hot Rod Funeral started in summer of 2004. In Gardena part of the greater Los Angeles area. As a project by Ivan Drums and Jorge Bass (brothers). And in early 2005 David lead guitar was asked to join after leaving his former band The Remains, a punk band from the L.A South Bay area. His work can be heard in the motion picture "Wassup Rockers." The three began to write music and record songs and demos in Ivans garage. The band still needed a singer. But that did not keep them from playing shows. Hot Rod Funeral played as an instrumental band for a few months. Many were asked to join as the singer but they all lacked dedication. But in the summer of 2005 Hot Rod Funeral played a show in Paramount,Ca. Were they exchanged numbers with a fan named Felix. He was asked to audition and he jumped at the opportunity. Felix filled the gap with his energetic voice and earblasting guitar riffs. Hot Rod Funeral was complete and started re-recording old material and new material. Hot Rod Funeral is making a name for themselves. With their distinctive sound and energectic atmosphere. With a sound different from the typical psychobilly. Hot Rod Funeral makes music for all; psychos, punx, greasers, rockabillys, rockers and anyone who likes high energy rock n'roll.
