Explicit aka Mr. Clearly Expressed started spitting at the age of 12. Even before then Ex-p has always been around music it has always been apart of his life. His step-father use to Dj his elder sister parties and I quote "I remember me and my cousin trying to sneak in and mess with my sisters friends while watching him spin. My real dad use to pick me up and we would ride around for a couple of hrs listening to Too Short, and Tupac so music has always been apart of who my life." Born and raised in Cleveland city "Grity City" as he refers to it in the mid 80's to the late 90's. Explicit learned about music and writing when he attended Harry E. Davis Middle School from a friend who taught him how to freestyle. He took that knowledge and brought it home where he later learned how to write his first bar and hook from his sisters boyfriend. "That's how I basically got started I remember jotted down Jay-Z songs, and other popular artist at the time just to get a better feel of how to write music.
