About Me

Official Home for Ryan Bisio
Ryan Bisio’s emergence as an Artist, Guitarist, Singer, and Songwriter has been anything but ordinary. While typically garnering praise for his charismatic stage presence and magnetic personality, Bisio’s innovative songwriting is quite possibly the artist’s finest gift. Paired with a vocal delivery that is soulfully sultry and casually seductive, Bisio’s songs create a mesmerizing experience for his listeners. At a mere 25 years of age, the progressive minded Bisio is poised for longevity. Since April of 2005 Bisio has showcased his original material at upwards of one hundred shows in venues across California. Bisio has preformed solo, with his band, headlined, opened for a Grammy Award winner, and has never failed to put on a memorable act. ?Bisio is a Northern California native. He writes contemporary compositions blending folk, blues, jazz, rock, and piano balladry. The self-taught singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist is strongly influenced by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Tom Waits, Elliott Smith and Dave Matthews. Bisio’s lyrics feature a keen sense of wordplay, articulating quirky phrases and inquisitive stories which unite the listener and song. This charismatic element has drawn fans of all types, ages, and tastes to his music. His innate aptitude for instrumental rhythm appears in various musical forms, and is particularly on display in his acoustic guitar play. Bisio’s musical collages are eclectic by nature woven together by skillfully balanced rhythm, harmony and melodic components. The acoustic guitar, piano, harmonica, electric guitar, ukulele, and his distinct vocal tone are thoughtfully arranged to create a wide array of music. Bisio’s 2005 self-produced debut album, "Sketches: The Home Recordings," exudes boundless energy and a unique passion for music creation. Andrew Gilhooley of 411 Entertainment describes the album as? "a 14-track sketchbook of Bisio’s songwriting. Studio trickery and lush production are eschewed in favor of a stripped-down sound that highlights both the intensity of his songs and the honesty of his performance." Bisio recently completed his degree in contemporary music at Cal State Monterey Bay and is currently recording his second album.
