2006 is the 12th consecutive year of Shocktoberfest, Pennsylvania's premier haunted theme park! We feature the Toxic Asylum 3D Extreme, the Prison of the Dead, the Biohazard Haunted Hayride, and the Monster Midway with games, food, and music. Shocktoberfest is open rain or shine and located West of Reading, PA., a short drive from Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, Lancaster, and Lehigh counties.
Shocktoberfest is located on an abandoned industrial park that was once home to several large, corrupt institutions namely the State Psychiatric Hospital and Willow Glen State Penitentiary. In addition, riddled throughout the lands are the remnants of years of illegal toxic waste dumping by a New Jersey chemical company. In 1903, an inquisitive local reporter uncovered secrets that laid dormant here for decades. Pieces of his journal were found and are available for you to read. While these lands have long been condemned, closed-down, and hidden from the public, come retrace his steps and experience the bone-chilling truths for yourself.
