Ive been married for 56 years, have four grown up children and nine grandchildren. I taught at Cannock Chase Technical College for over 20 years, and moved from Stafford 3 and a half years ago to Cheadle to be closer to my daughter and her family.Unfortunately with her busy life and working full time I dont seem to get as much time as I would like to spend with her and her family, and my husband Jim has vascular dementia. I was a member of a writers group in Stafford and had some poetry published. My younger daughter Boo, thought it may be a good idea to do this to network with other writers and share experiences with others. I guess I am quite isolated now, having moved away from friends in Stafford and other family living far away and I know there must be many other people in the same boat as me....This was never part of our plan, and I never thought Id be caring for my husband like this, its sad but its the way it goes...I still remember watching him sitting in the window smoking on his pipe, and I thougt he was the most handsome man in the world...
