Formed in the spring of 2005 the band was working uder the name "Detunes" before finding out there is a music publishing label with the same name, so the band name was changed to Wolver. The original idea for the name came from the Pedro Almodóvar's film title Volver (which means "to return"). Wolver is also short from wolverine... Who is the coolest comic anti hero of all time! Wolver also sounds and looks fucking cool too. In the beginnig of 2006 the band did a dozen gigs in the Helsinki area before diving into the studio building prosess.
