In 2002, Spyder (PSYKILL) and Angel (playing drums for GENITORTURERS at the time) started hosting Open Jam Nights at The Liars Club (RIP) in Tampa, Florida. Not to offend anyone who was there, but most of the "jammers" sucked! So Angel and Spyder took over the whole night and started playing cover songs. They became more of the "house band", rather than hosting an Open Jam Night. Machine (DEVAMACHINE) would soon join to play bass.
Blake (PIGFACE/GRIM FAERIES) gave them the name... THE TRIPLE SIXERS!!!
When The Liars Club closed down, THE TRIPLE SIXERS moved their Open Jam Night to another Tampa Bay bar... The Pegasus Lounge... Along with new bass player, Chris (STRANDED), they hosted the jam night for local musicians. But then again, they bailed on the idea and became the house band. It was at this time where they teamed up with Star Malone, who would take over bass duties and backing/lead vocals.
In 2005, THE TRIPLE SIXERS decided to stop the weekly shows and jams. Angel moved up to Ohio to begin his work with the band PIG (with Raymond Watts of KMFDM) and a number of different bands. He is currently playing drums for DOPE and has a solo-project called TEAM CYBERGEIST. Spyder would continue his work with PSYKILL. And Star would move on to join THEE VAUDE VILLIANS.
It is now 2007... And THE TRIPLE SIXERS are back!!!
