Intimidating men in suits, bright colors, the sun, summer, psychology, anthropology, men wearing masks, costumes and face paint, drawing, art, serial killers, cryptozoology, nature, men wearing eyeliner, comedy, dreams, absurdity, then I say something, odd things, soft things, warm things, shiny things, sharp things, large things, mini things, many things.
People who I can find a common bond with, like carbon atoms. No, I'm not a science junkie, but science junkies are welcomed here with much enthusiasm (including many other types of junkies, too). In fact, anybody is welcomed here. Please, come in. I'd be interested in meeting my heroes (take a looksee at the list I've made), God (if he exists, that guy's got a lot of explaining to do), extraterrestrials, and some other people (but these people I am not as interested in meeting since they are last on the list).
Animal Collective, Radiohead, The Walkmen, Stephen Malkmus, Pavement, Badly Drawn Boy, Simon and Garfunkel, Panda Bear, I Monster, Band of Horses, Massive Attack, Neutral Milk Hotel, Gogol Bordello, Andrew Bird, The Books, Interpol, The Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, Golden oldies (Dean Martin, Bobby Darin), Glenn Miller, Sunset Rubdown, Blonde Redhead, Sigur Ros, Steve Burns, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, some Beatles, Tool, Jazz, Classical, and other stuff. Also, some of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard have come from the violin.
28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, About a Boy, Empire Records, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Pianist, Donnie Darko, The Truman Show, Cape Fear (1962), The Professional, Un Chien Andalou, A Clockwork Orange, Natural Born Killers, Dahmer, Copycat, Hook, Supersize Me, Apocalypse Now, The Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs, Edward Scissorhands, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Pleasantville, Batman movies, Back to the Future trilogy, Ghost Busters 1 and 2.
Ghost Hunters, Family Guy, Venture Brothers, Scrubs, Discovery Channel. Cancelled/ended shows I love: Going Tribal, Seinfeld, The Young Ones, The Invisible Man, 30 Days, FreakyLinks, Kids In The Hall, Stella, X-Files, Mystery Science Theater 3000. But most of the stuff on television is utter crap and should be beaten with heavy pieces of wood.
The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Between Good and Evil by Roger Depue, Alice in Wonderland, The Catcher in the Rye, A Lifetime of Secrets by Frank Warren, and books about criminals.
The villains: Arnaud De Fehrn/Fohn, Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, Mickey and Mallory Knox, Leather McWhip, Harley Quinn, and Stansfield from "The Professional." My NON-villain heroes would be Bruce Parry (from Going Tribal--quite inspiring), foster parents, Batman, and Derek Barnes.
