Either way you look at it, you have your fits, I have my fits, but feeling is good.

About Me

I'm in college. I'm double majoring in Sociology/Anthropology and Psychology. I enjoy observing people's behavior. Humans never fail to surprise me (most of the time they disappoint me). I like laughing (as do many people) and making people laugh. My goal in life is to find a state of peace, where I can accept everything around me and feel alright about life, people, and my own faults. I don't actually have as many friends as my friends list says I do. This is my DeviantART page. I'm very much the amateur, but I'm still quite proud. If you want to see a lame video with me in it, it's right below these next 50 words. I really don't want you to add me if you've got thousands of friends and just want to have one more amongst the bunch, because if you do that and never respond when I leave a comment (or two (or three)), then you're off my list. Have a good day.

Pay no attention to the girl behind the curtain!

My Interests

Intimidating men in suits, bright colors, the sun, summer, psychology, anthropology, men wearing masks, costumes and face paint, drawing, art, serial killers, cryptozoology, nature, men wearing eyeliner, comedy, dreams, absurdity, then I say something, odd things, soft things, warm things, shiny things, sharp things, large things, mini things, many things.

I'd like to meet:

People who I can find a common bond with, like carbon atoms. No, I'm not a science junkie, but science junkies are welcomed here with much enthusiasm (including many other types of junkies, too). In fact, anybody is welcomed here. Please, come in. I'd be interested in meeting my heroes (take a looksee at the list I've made), God (if he exists, that guy's got a lot of explaining to do), extraterrestrials, and some other people (but these people I am not as interested in meeting since they are last on the list).

Music:

Animal Collective, Radiohead, The Walkmen, Stephen Malkmus, Pavement, Badly Drawn Boy, Simon and Garfunkel, Panda Bear, I Monster, Band of Horses, Massive Attack, Neutral Milk Hotel, Gogol Bordello, Andrew Bird, The Books, Interpol, The Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, Golden oldies (Dean Martin, Bobby Darin), Glenn Miller, Sunset Rubdown, Blonde Redhead, Sigur Ros, Steve Burns, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, some Beatles, Tool, Jazz, Classical, and other stuff. Also, some of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard have come from the violin.

Movies:

28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, About a Boy, Empire Records, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Pianist, Donnie Darko, The Truman Show, Cape Fear (1962), The Professional, Un Chien Andalou, A Clockwork Orange, Natural Born Killers, Dahmer, Copycat, Hook, Supersize Me, Apocalypse Now, The Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs, Edward Scissorhands, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Pleasantville, Batman movies, Back to the Future trilogy, Ghost Busters 1 and 2.

Television:

Ghost Hunters, Family Guy, Venture Brothers, Scrubs, Discovery Channel. Cancelled/ended shows I love: Going Tribal, Seinfeld, The Young Ones, The Invisible Man, 30 Days, FreakyLinks, Kids In The Hall, Stella, X-Files, Mystery Science Theater 3000. But most of the stuff on television is utter crap and should be beaten with heavy pieces of wood.

Books:

The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Between Good and Evil by Roger Depue, Alice in Wonderland, The Catcher in the Rye, A Lifetime of Secrets by Frank Warren, and books about criminals.

Heroes:

The villains: Arnaud De Fehrn/Fohn, Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, Mickey and Mallory Knox, Leather McWhip, Harley Quinn, and Stansfield from "The Professional." My NON-villain heroes would be Bruce Parry (from Going Tribal--quite inspiring), foster parents, Batman, and Derek Barnes.

My Blog

Death, lies, and secrets.

I hate having secrets. Usually I don't have any. I also wish I could just communicate without the use of technology if I wanted to zap a thought over to a friend. If only we were all connected through...

Andy Warhol will pay for this!

I'm jealous of Andy Warhol for painting this before I ever did.

People to throw away and a tattoo to keep

I had a realization lastnight while having dinner with a friend. As I listened to myself talk and listened to my new friend who I had thought of as cool for quite a while and always wanted to know (no...

So, I made a new friend. I'm very happy about that. I want to enhance my social experience. I want to enlighten myself by entangling my personality with other's, finding in myself what I can find in o...

Is that an aspirin youre taking or an atypical elephant?

I found this great little philosophy book today called "Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar" and it's got all this sort of skimmed-off-the-surface information (I almost spelled 'fornication' instead)...

The storm has taken a break.

For 4 days we have beckoned the sun to come and chase away these crying clouds, whose tears froze as the wind swept past to playfully catch each drop in her hand. It's covered the ground and made moun...

If the past were tomorrow...

What would it be like if tomorrow I woke up and was 11 years old again? I keep imagining the things I would say to my parents, trying to convince them that I'm actually 20. I know I would tell them a ...

The Joys of Pretending to be Someone Else.

I discovered the band "Muse." Well, they're quite popular, actually, and I will say for sure that only a few of their songs tickle my fancy. Knights of Cydonia was genius! I also watched the video for...
