Top Tenn Movements aka The Musically Inclined established in 1993. Tenn being the family name. The members of the group are Mike Tenn, Jr. (Mikey Top Tenn), Neville (Neville Diamond) and Travis (DJ X) who came about in 1999.We are known for our musical intelligence in Reggae, Dance Hall, Soca, Calypso, R&B, Hip-Hop, Disco and the list goes on and on. But we are most notable for our knowledge in Oldies but Goodies in all genres of music. Our knowledge of the Old School era landed us our first gigs at family events such as weddings, bridal parties, 50th Birthday parties, and corporate events.Top Tenn's first experience in the Dance Hall arena began in the early 90's at various clubs in Atlantic City, NJ and in Delaware along with Stereo 5 from Bronx, NY and Crazy Richie of Afrique Soundstation. Working for promoters in Philadelphia, Pa, Cleveland, OH, Charlotte, NC, Boston, Mass, Connecticut, Florida, Upstate NY, Washington, D.C. and Jamaica, W.I. got us in the groove and the list goes on. Openings at World Clash, 45 Shoot Out, and Rumble in the Bronx events for promoters Irish and Chin helped us a great deal in getting some exposure. SOB's for Simon Templer and BK's for the record label John Shop (both clubs in NYC) also played a vital part in our musical journey. Now you can hear us anywhere locally in Brooklyn, NY and in the Atlanta region of GA.Our influences come from God (Of Course!) and the veteran disc jockeys of yesterday and today. Paying our respects to Stone Love, Afrique Soundstation, Afrique Happenings, Gemini Disco, Metro Media, Body Guard, Addies Hi-Fi, Firgo Digital and I can go on and on but I have to stop at some point. LoL. So forgive me if I didn't call the names of the others we know personally. Your respect is still due! These veterans guided us in one way or another, directly and indirectly to keep the music flowing. And we plan to do the same for many of the younger disc jockeys that follow.Thanks to the Almighty for giving us the talent and Nuff Respect to our family, fans and clients and the entertainers that keep us in the business to this day!!
