Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox !Niall Murphy is a solo artist who much prefers to be a sound engineer behind the desk but has always recorded his songs at home, and felt that it would be a criminal waste not to put them on myspace. In his misguided early twenties he sung for a goth band called Nosferatu but decided that he didn't like being a puppet in a spin machine and took the first opportunity to escape.Prior to that he had a four track used to record rudimenary songs in his bedroom, coming up with innovative but niave tunes. He knew a lot of musicians and ended up recording their solo ideas as well as having them session and solo on his songs to. Along the way, he recorded, amongst others, Hughie Dixon, Jamie McKenzie and Huggy Harewood who ended up playing all these years later on his present collection of songs. From 4 track he went to 8 track reel to reel, then to 16 track digital and now has 40 digital tracks, valve preamps and all the mics to record an entire drum kit. This site contains four song from an album he put together called "39 steps to 40 winks". Some of the songs are new, some are old but re-recorded and others of them were originally mixed 16 track recordings remixed to 40 track capacity.A few of his musician friends have guested on this album.
