Profile GeneratorThe Grand Electric Club was born in the summer of 2004 when Steven, Mark and Johan got thoroughly fed up with their coverband MyTown and decided to venture off on their own.
An add on a local musician's web page got the band in touch with Amon, keyboard- and samplewizard extraordinaire.
The band quickly got together and started to figure out what music they would be playing and what they would call themselves. Zelda was the first incarnation, Tullah Lane the next, but finally they settled on Grand Electric Club. Early vocalist Brenda only lasted a couple of rehearsals and was aptly replaced by Ingrid.
Thus complete, the band started writing songs, often reworking them completely at rehearsals. A massive amount of rehearsal time later, by half 2006, the band was finally ready to put the finishing touches to their music and hit the road.
