BIO:
The band was formed around Aug-Sept. of 2003 from the original members: LarryG., Bouklas, Kostas, Alex & Tasos K. and started playing in Funkey live bar with female singer Ioanna. After 6 months we changed singer and continued with Zoe another female singer, 'till 4 months later (Aug 2004) when we found Petros (a half greek half canadian singer who was a dream come true!). During the next winter period, we continued playing at Funkey and we also found our fellow tompet player Tasos V. who became part of the band. After a lot of hard work and a support act for local band Nasa Funk Petros left the band.
After his departure we tried some other singers but none of them created the same feeling, so the band was on hold for about a year. In March 2006 after a random visit at a local live bar we discovered Helias (the current singer) and asked him to come and jam with us and see how this would feel. The chemistry was excellent + everybody was more than satisfied with him. result: we had found ourselves a new singer! After only 6-7 rehearsals we played again as support act for Nasa Funk and this time the comments were even better. After that a race, for finding summer deals to play and to rehearse more songs, started and it had a nice ending... We managed to play in two beach bars in Chalkidiki (Anemos 22/07 & Helona 13/08) and in Xanthi (17/08 at Live bar Oniro) all with great success!
The winter season 2006 - 2007 found motherfunkers resident band of malt n' jazz! From 08/02/07 motherfunkers have increased and became 08. Menios, (trompone) is our new member. From 13/05/2007 motherfunkers are again 07 because our keywiz Tasos K. left due to military reasons! Whenever he will be available though, he will be performing with us!
