I believe we live in a world of challenge and change. The life you make for yourself and the success you find along the way will depend on the choices you make from here on out no matter when you choose to to make them! I.E. if you are uncomfortable with your weight, Well then start dieting, exercising and disciplin yourself,Its the same if you want to learn to play a musical instrument, or if you want to learn how to fix a car.Only total devotion will earn success!
Now I want you to take me serious here but I'm reminded of the words of Master Yoda who said: "Try not, Do or do not, There is no try!" And I've found out that I could'nt have done anything without a few fixed stars to guide me during this simple yet complicated thing called life. And I'd like to share a few with you.
First: Loving families are the backbone of our society and community. You would never know it by watching television these days, But The steadiest rock I have ever found in my life is my family, both the one I knew growing up as a child with my parents and siblings, and the one my child will make for himself and share with me, his grandparents, and others in the future. Nothing else can ever come close to that kind of love.
So I thank my parents today for their love. They paid the bills, and still do sometimes when Im desperate . . . And they paced the floor when I was teething and again that first night I got my drivers license and borrowed the car.
Treasure the good people who love you no matter what.Take my brother for example he was often mean to me as a child but my older sister always protected me.I am still very close to Gina and Troy allthough I have a weird relationship with Troy but then again he is like ten years older than me and we have not much in common at all. Anyways they are what Desmond Tutu had in mind when he said, "You don't choose your family. They are Lifes gift to you, as you are to them." And one thing I have learned to appreciate more as I have grown older is the texture and meaning they have brought to my life.
My familys love encouraged me and sustained me and opened my eyes to a another very fundamental truth and the second point: And that is people and the real, human connections we make with one another that matter most.
Globalization is revolutionizing the way we live. But something in danger of being trampled in the stampede to the future is the delicate thread that draws us together as human beings and that is physical contact.
We surf the internet in multiple languages, yet never speak to the person next door. News cameras show us deprivation in the far reaches of the globe, yet we never notice the poverty in our own backyard. What good is crystal clear reception on your Cell phone if you can't hear the voice of your own conscience or your neighbor asking for help?
Skip the text messaging once in a while. Pick up a pen and paper and write a letter with a real postage stamp to someone you love. Make real personal connections with others. Nurture those relationships. They are what will help you find your way in life.
My third point: Find your purpose and set the bar high, but dont let success alone be your goal.
Now Im not saying success is bad, Because Ive known success and I have also fallen on my face. And believe me success is definitely better especially when you are doing something you feel passionate about.
But understand success for what it is -- and what it isnt. Use it to make a real difference in the world around you. Reach for the substance, not the shadow. Albert Einstein, kept a sign over his desk that simply said: Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.
Einstein understood that no matter how famous you get, how much money you earn, or how many scientific mysteries you unravel, they are nothing if you lose your sense of imagination and wonder.
Looking back, some of the most successful and most satisfied people Ive ever known are those with that música por dentro(music inside). And its because they took the time to stop and contemplate the world around them with awe and wonder.
Things like stopping and noticing the fragile artistry of the stained glass in an old local church, or the the view from the rim of the Grand Canyon, or a dew dropped spider web on your front porch, It could maybe even be noticing the elegance of how Michael Jordan shoots a fade-away jumpshot. Its's up to you to take the time to find beauty in every and all things at any time of the day!!
You Know the Simple things that humble me with more questions than answers.
Let this glorious world that Nature has entrusted to us move you. . . . Take care of it -- and take care of each other. Life has shown me that if you cant appreciate all that is awe-inspiring around you, its not likely that you will even begin to understand the miracle that is the person who stares at you from the mirror!
So if you remember nothing else, remember my fourth point: Life will test you in ways you cannot imagine. And one of the ways it will test you over and over -- is how you treat others who dont look like you, talk like you or earn like you.
We have come far as a society.America didnt get where we are today off the sweat of just one race, one religion, or one culture. It took all of us, working together, in what Martin Luther King called the "inescapable network of mutuality". What affects one citizen, affects all citizens.
To me the irony of life is that you have like this big dream to get where you wanna be but once you get there you start to dream about where you came from. I guess thats the part of the circle of our lives like the hands of a clock going round. if only we could wind them back and return to a time where the dream began. its all too soon thats all that we will be is a dream in someones mind.
Lastly if you sat and read all of this I am far happier than you could ever imagine..Thank you for your time and most of all thank you for being my friend. And I hope that those of you who know me have gained something from that friendship!

I'd like to meet:

I have already met the person who I would like to spend all of my time with. Due to some bad timing, never telling her how I feel about her, and now being several miles apart things never happened the way I wanted them to. So I must simply be content and wait for her no matter how long it takes! I do not believe in fate or the whole soul mates malarkey, but I do believe that she best completes me and I think she knows that I understand her better than most anyone also! I picked her some fresh wild flowers one day and took em by her work and she wore them in her hair, and to me thats what it's all about!!
These are the living famous people I would like to meet.
These are some people I would have liked to have met!

Music:

I am extremely passionate about Music and it is not something I just simply listen to or hear. I am constantly researching,exploring,obtaining,and absorbing every aspect of it.. It speaks to me in ways conversations can not. It can derive,determine,or define the way I feel! So it's probably no surprise that I don't enjoy "popular" or "Top 40" music. It's corporate, bland, overplayed, unoriginal, shallow, and boring. It's also boring and overplayed. But just because I don't enjoy it doesn't mean I don't escape from having to hear it. I mean, how can you not when radio and TV is infested with this crap.The list below my selected videos hardly scratches the surface of my favorite artists! I also have a huge collection of over hundreds of original LP's ranging from the first Beatles album (1964 mono first pressing) to as recent as all of the White Stripes Albums and prefer them over any Compact Disc! I am also in love with my 6 gig mp3 player for music on the go.It makes me feel like my life finally has its own soundtrack! These are the concerts I have attended in no particular order;
The Non Filters, The White Stripes, The Greenhorns/Raconteurs, Metallica(3X), Van Halen(3X), I.C.P.(3X), Prince(3X), Alanis Moriset, Journey, Styx, Rush, Korn, DMX, Limp Bizkit(sorry about that), No Doubt, Candle Box, Collective Soul, Alice In Chains, Power Man 5000, Tom Petty, Our Lady Peace, God Smack, System Of A Down, Scar Face, Twiztid, AnyBody Killa, Blaze, Coal Chamber, Barney Barnwell and the Plum Hollow Band, Gin Blossoms, Blind Melon, and maybe more,But that's all that comes to mind; I'm kind of a burn out!
