Band Members: SHAG NASTYShag Nasty was born into a musical family in San Francisco, California. His father was a local avid singer and his mother played the piano. He received his first instrument - the drums... when he was 7 years old and he was sold on them. Music was his passion! By the age of 12, Shag Nasty joined a Bay Area well known strutting group called the Unhumans (known for their pop locking robotic style of dancing). He was already performing professionally at school and community functions at this early age.He was introduced to the lyrical hustle by Bay Area legends such as Cougnut, Too Short, Rappin Forte, and Huey MC; as well legendary rappers, Run DMC, Dr. Dre & the World Class Reckin Crew, Whodini, and Sugar Hill Gang. While in high school he joined a group called "A Touch of Class" (ATC) and they landed a gig as the opening act for Ice T at the Ole Fillmore in San Francisco. Following his passion for Hip Hop, Shag Nasty then hooked-up with local DJ’s (such as Dee Jay Pauze & J-Mack) in order to further his musical talents and career. After a few years of sharpening his skills Shag Nasty decided to take it to the next level and recorded his first CD, "The Mac Who Shagged Me". On this CD he worked with George Clinton, Suga Free, Andre Nickatina, San Quinn, Cougnut, Rappin Forte and many others.As life has many detours Shag Nasty found himself taking a break from the music scene and focusing full time on marriage and family. Only to find himself back in the Hip Hop scene along side the scratchin wizard Dee Jay Pauze delivering yet another show stoppin CD entitled "Monster" - show casing artist such as Mike Marshall (of The Timex Social Club) & Equipto (of Bored Stiff). This album was all about versatility and it got the attention of crowds from San Francisco to Portland, Oregon; needless to say whatever Shag Nasty set out to do... he accomplished. The third album (Gansta Habitz) is full of many surprises. Pick it up... you’ll be intrigued!Shag Nasty is currently partnered with Mike Marshall & Equipto to start the hottest thang going right now to date! This collaboration is known as the Bay Boy Banditz (album to drop in early 2008), and this has proven to be the expansion of his creative thinking and talent. Spending countless hours massaging his talent and making beatz to spawn what is yet to be one of his better creations.
