The band takes its name from A Doll's
House, an 1879 play by Camilla's
favourite Norwegian playwright, Henrik
Ibsen. The controversial play is a scathing
criticism of the traditional roles of men
and women in Victorian marriage and was
originally banned in England!
Arriving in London from her native Norway
and with a steely determination to succeed
in the music world, Camilla met Alex Inglis,
a no-nonsense drummer who was looking
for something fresh and exciting. A chord
was struck and the two set about
expanding their ideas.
More Overleaf....
Doll's House are a
London-based, four-piece
band that blend pop
sensibility and hard rock
with toxic melodies and
great musicianship.
Joz Anderson (guitar),
Cenk Aksun (bass) and
Alex Inglis (drums)
provide the perfect
backdrop to blonde,
Norwegian songstress
Camilla Romestrand.
Alex's friend, silky bass guitarist
Cenk Aksun, was invited to join the band.
The search for a guitarist led to
Joz Anderson, whose axe-wielding,
carefree disposition impressed after just
one rehearsal. And so the foursome
became Doll's House.
