Snake Davis is involved with several bands, his own "The Snake Davis Band" has Paul Birchall ..s (Marshall Jefferson, M People, Heather Small, Candi Statton, K'Klass, Jim Diamond); Winston Blisset on bass guitar (Massive Attack, Robbie Williams, Cher, Kylie, Lionel Richie, Boy George); Bryan Hargreaves on drums (Heather Small, Gary Cooke, Pocket Central).
These are the regular band members, although with such high profile players, sometimes they are not able to perform with the band. On these occassions, Snake will ask others great musicians to join him, for example, Neil Fairclough, John Ellis, Pat Illingworth, Frank Felix and Luke Flowers.

Influences:
Snake Davis has a unique style of playing that has been influenced by his love of Northern Soul music, King Curtis, Junior Walker and Michael Brecker.
Sounds Like:
Snake has a truly unique style, but if you take King Curtis, Michael Brecker and Junior Walker, mix them together and add a good pinch of soul music, you'd be close. Snake uses Yanagisawa 902 Saxophones to achieve his incredible tone.
The Brawby Boogie Package
A distance learning package created by leading UK saxophonist Snake Davis, aimed at saxophonists but equally at home with a multitude of instruments and therefore a popular piece for band practice.
Comprising of a Cd and 11 page booklet*, this is a no nonsense, practical workshop in simple melodic, jazzy, soulful playing based on the tune “The Brawby Boogieâ€.
The Brawby Boogie was written by Snake as a result of his appearances at The Shed© and the Pied Piper workshops in the days when the great Yorkshire Pudding Boat race were held there. It features in many of Snake’s workshops and it is as a result of the many requests for the tune to use as a practice piece that have led to the development of this package. It is a happy simple Latin-influenced piece which works well for most instruments and is a popular tune for:
B flat major concert (for flute, keys, guitar, etc)
C major for tenor sax, soprano sax, clarinet and trumpet
G major for alto sax and baritone sax
