DJMonalisa is a long-time New York-based DJ who has worked in various venues like One Hotspot, which was located under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, Tracks (NY), Better Days (NY), The Sound Factory Bar (NY), The Buddah Bar (NY), Crazy Nanny's (NY), The Warehouse (The Bronx), among others. She has enjoyed crowds ranging in the thousands. She has been in the game for many years on the scene. She loves the opportunity to travel around the world to meet and greet people as a DJ. She is a filmmaker whose short film "True Confession" can be seen on www.Youtube.com. Her upcoming documentary "Being Proud Black & LGBT in America" has gained interest from Showtime and LOGO. It is slated to air in early 2007. She is currently putting together an Internet radio show called "In Da Soul".
