About Me

We're at the Tenth age. I'm Matt. I'm a philosopher/poet/warrior. I have an open mind, and I change it alot. I have many masks, but they're only slight variations of me. I like to go where the wind takes me. I'm happy with my place in the great wheel of life. I live by a code of honor. I have many aliases that nobody uses, ask my voicemail. I have no religion, but I believe in God. I'm still waiting for this future we kept hearing about. I like things epic. I'm always up for a quest. I make references that nobody will get while conversing. I could stand to know some more people. I like to surround myself with the spirits of others. I work part-part-part time as a ninja, Jedi Knight, mercenary, and problem solver. I'm waiting for the business cards to be done. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

My Interests

Video games, writing this and that, weapons training and sparring, reading here and there, partaking, learning about myself by watching my son grow, light housework, 40k, contemplating.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a good story.

Music:

To put it vaguely and general, most anything besides country.

Movies:

Comedies, Action(especially the kind with lots of kung-fu fighting), Artsy stuff

Television:

Anything from Adult Swim, not the live action stuff. They try to hard. Comedy Central, G4, Discovery Science and similar science and history channels, especially stuff involving space.

Books:

Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. I've read The Art of War and all those books they make you read in grade school. And I've been reading Dante's Inferno to the little guy at bedtime. He loves it.

Heroes:

I don't really look up to anyone. I look at everyone equally and as equals, for everyone I meet have something to teach me and mold me into who I will eventually become.

My Blog

Damn the machine!

Ok, so I just noticed that when I post a comment I have to go through an ordeal. This Captcha thing...I don't like it. I'm all for stopping phishing and botting and stuff but now I have to go this pro...

From "The Chronicles of Him ep. 54"

He pulled a cigarette out of the small cardboard box and placed it in his mouth and lit it as he drove away, rain beating on his windshield. He took so much time putting all this in a pile in the corn...

From "The Chronicles of Him" ep. 53

He tossed his cigarette off to the side and took a deep breath. He let the cold air fill his lungs and surround him, refreshing him. He felt lighter, as if his body had been awaken out of a deep stupo...

White Coats

I think white coats are a bad idea. Every time it starts to get cold I start seeing people wearing white coats. White is an awful color for a coat. They get dirty so easily. Unless you're hiding in th...

Unthinkable!?

Part II. So, I went a month and a half without smoking. The couple weeks went well but after a month I had "the cravings". The I sort of started smoking again. It took a whole 5 days to smoke a pack. ...

So I’ve done the unthinkable

So yeah, I quit smoking cigarettes. Yeah, it's pretty stupid. And, as is my custom, I find myself in a moral debate. I mean, I was that guy that said stuff like "Quitters never win" or "Imma smoke til...

There is purity of purpose in the faith of the just.

Man, I hate that cat. You know, the one that you've taken out to the woods and finally let go but it keeps coming back and meowing in your head. You don't want to want it anymore. But you kinda miss i...

What we need.

So I was looking up anime music videos on YouTube, and I came across one from Gundam Wing. I've decided we need more giant mech fighting in our empty lives.   That's all. It's been slow....

From "The Chronicles of Him" ep. 51

He slowly blew the smoke out of the side of his mouth, watching the wind carry it away with force. He saw it shift and change and dissolve into nothingness. Things were always changing. He was always ...

Raise the sails

I feel the change in the winds now like never before. For too long have I held back, thinking that everything was drifting according to fate. But I have hid from the tide, thinking that the journey wo...
