Matt Dallas was born in Pheonix, Arizona on October 21, 1982. All of his family was really interested in sports, except for him. He was introduced to the world of acting by his grandmother at the age of 12 when she took him to an audition for a community theatre production of "The Ugly Duckling" where he landed the role of Gander. As he prepares for fame, his family keeps him humble. Every time he goes home to Phoenix his grandmother pulls out the tape of “The Ugly Duckling†and they watch it together. He moved to Los Angeles after his high school graduation. He modeled for five years, and in 2005 got the lead part on Kyle XY. He was one of the last people to audition for the part. Matt has also acted in the movies Wannabe, Living the Dream, Camp Daze, and Way of the Vampire.
