Candace Linklater is an aspiring First Nations/Native American entertainer who is from the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation in Manitoba Canada. Though a beginner in the entertainment industry, Candace is a determined and dedicated hard worker with much experience in traditional native singing, and both traditional and contemporary styles of dance. Her dance training consists of: Contemporary: ballet-2 years, jazz-6 years, tap 5-years, hip hop-2 years, musical theatre-1 year. Traditional: Jingle dress dance-8 years, Fancy Shawl-2 years. Her mature and professional approach to her work makes Candace a pleasure to work with. I like to live in the moment, if anything comes up I will go for it, I'm not really a planner because plans don't work out. Of course I can be shy when it comes to meeting new people at first, if the person makes me nervous. Education wise I did one year college in the Native Artisans program, Lac La Biche Alberta and one year in Univeresity first year courses in Edmonton Alberta. I'm back home to work and save up some money for school. I still don't know what I want to study. But I do have goals and aspirations for myself and for my people.
