It’s difficult to get that perfect Polaroid of somebody’s character in a short introduction. We all have various facets to our personality, and we are constantly changing (as is everything else). I once had a teacher of Buddhism ask me if I acted the same way toward my wife as I do my boss. My answer to him was that my wife is my boss… Lucky for me, he still took me on as a student.Everything happens to us for a reason and in some way is a lesson to us. The people who we meet and interact with, all have the potential to be our teacher. To varying degrees we have Karmic connections to those people we meet and have interaction with (in Japanese they say “Goen”; not to be confused with the five yen coin ;-). Reality is there for us, giving us sermons from every direction; all we have to do is look and listen. Some of the sermons are delightful, some unpleasant, many are easily misunderstood, but all are helpful.That’s it for now. Probably not a very good Polaroid of me. I might add some later. I don’t know.Cheers!
