Music has always been a topic of importance for the viennese mikeBurns. At the age of 16 he discovered his love for the electronic side of music. Thus he ended his career as a teenage headbanger and set forth on his quest to explore the depths of electronic music production. Then in 1998 he discovered the true instrument of the gods: the Technics 1210 turntable. Since then he has been DJing at various clubs and events in Vienna, perfecting the art of mixing and attempting to provide the perfect soundtrack for glorious moments. His selection of chilled, funky and thrilling electronic music has never failed to enhance a night out. In 2003 he joined blankTON communications, a group with the aim to promote Austrian electronic music culture, which broadened his appearances as a DJ in Viennas club scene. Together with his long time DJ colleague Supersultan he now hosts The Bongo Club, a monthly clubnite at Vienna's Wirr, that has already enjoyed sets by guests such as Makossa & Sugar B (FM4), Funkanomics (Rocstar/DE), Rune Lindbaek (Noid/NOR) among others. Furthermore, the first official release of his work is out: Supermax - Electricty (mikeBurns & Supersultan Remix) - Universal Music Austria. And of course more tracks are in the making...
