About Me

I'm not f-ing stupid... but I used to!
I have a long history of stepping in shit, but falling on roses. :)
Been in Florida just over 3 years now. Originally from Boston, most recently from Los Angeles. I'm a genuinely happy person. There aren't enough of us around anymore. I'm chill, love the beach life, don't really stress, and want to spend my days enjoying them. Obviously I love music, that's why I worked in radio for 18 years. Did TV for a couple too, and even some independent films. I've since left the entertainment business with the exception of some radio consulting on the side. Details are on my website at www.skipk.com. Aside from that, nowadays I just own commercial real estate and do... nothing! I'm a big fan of cool, "foodie" restaurants and travelling as much as I can to as many places as I can!

Been to a lot of places, but not as many as I'd like...
Yeah, I'm 60% Jesse Metcalfe. Trouble is, none of that 60% is in the FACE!

My Interests

I'm into music, magic, movies, cooking (in another life, I'd have been a chef), Xbox 360, checking out new restaurants, and travelling as much as I possibly can.

I'd like to meet someone who can't be described in a brief paragraph.

Music:

Coldplay, Dave Matthews, DJ Jeremy, No Doubt, Paul Oakenfold, Jason Mraz, Zero 7, John Mayer, The Smiths, Tiesto, The Cure, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Coltraine, Miles Davis, Frou Frou, Depeche Mode, The Police, Sarah McLachlan, Lionel Richie, Fleetwood Mac, Alicia Keys, there is sooooo much...

Movies:

I LOVE movies. I'll give anything a shot at least once.

Television:

Heroes, Family Guy, Mr. Show with Bob and David, Chappelle's Show, Adult Swim, Aqua Teen, Boondocks, Robot Chicken, Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef (I have a thing for cooking shows), and most recently, Mind Control with Derren Brown. It's on the SciFi channel, and it's an amazing show. Watch it once. I promise you, you'll watch it again. I'll admit to being a geeky sci-fi fan, and Battlestar Galactica is one of the most critically acclaimed shows on television right now, so it's worth watching even if you're not into the genre. The Stargate shows are pretty good too. I like CSI, but only the Vegas one, David Caruso in Miami annoys the S*%T outta me. I'll pretty much watch anything on the Discovery Channel or the Science Channel too.

Books:

I can't belive they spoiled the last Harry Potter movie by releasing that book! Now I know everything that's going to happen! I usually prefer non-fiction - like Maxim or Stuff. :) Don't worry, I've read plenty. I be wicked smart.

Heroes:

My hero is the person who said this: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
