About Me

Hello, my name is Jessica and I'm here to tell you about a wonderful place called the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary. I am a supporter of WMS and am not affiliated with the sanctuary, so if you have questions please direct them to www.WolfMountain.com All content and photos are from the WMS Official Website and are here for your informational purposes. Thanks!Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and proper management of wolves in the wild and in captivity. Our purpose and ultimate goal is to save these great noble animals from extinction. The Sanctuary is located in the high desert of Southern California. We are a forever home for all of the wolves we rescue. We rescue wolves from the movie industry, private owners and from breeders. WMS currently cares for 17 wolves ranging in age from 18 months to 19 years old. Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is one of the few sanctuaries which allows human interaction with the wolves. We feel that as the wolves will be captive for their whole life, they need to have human interaction and receive all the love we can give them. The impression a 180 lb wolf leaves on visitors to the sanctuary by rubbing their cheek against them and giving wolf kisses is everlasting. To look into their knowing, wise, amber colored eyes is a moving, spiritual experience. We feel that as the wolves will be captive for their whole life, they need to receive the love their caretakers and friends can offer. Interacting with he wolves is a truly amazing experience and it aids us in educating humanity of the wolves plight. WMS often travels to special events bringing a wolf ambassador to give educational lectures. The Sanctuary currently operates on donations thru memberships and monthly adoptions. We receive no government grants. When you come to the sanctuary your admission donations are directly helping to keep the sanctuary running, so come as often as you like.
