If it's too loud .... then you're TOO BLOODY OLD!!!

About Me

I edited my profile at Doobix.com
Myspace LayoutsI live in Portadown, Co. Armagh in Northern Ireland. My main interests are Golf (17 handicap), Music, Motorsports and Photography. I spent ten years trying to build a Motorsport Photography business, but have felt let down recently, and taken a year off to spend more time on the golf course, recently winding up my business to take pictures at selected events I want to cover. I love going to gigs, and my favourite type of music is Thrash Metal. I've seen my favourit band, Anthrax, live 10 times. I get on with anybody. Just ask those that know me.

My Interests

Main current interest is Golf. I play at Portadown and Loughgall, and currently hold a 17 handicap. I also love Rock Music. I've had a real love of Motorsport ever since I was a child. In particular Rallying. I've been to some really cool places to see cars fly past at obscene speeds on a wide range of surfaces. I've been to Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Monte Carlo, Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. But, I'll never forget my experiences of Ae Forest in Scotland. But thats for a blog sometime. During this time I also took up photography. I said from a very early age that I wanted to be a photographer, and in the past I have worked for some very big magazines and newspapers. I've had work published int he local rags, Belfast Newsletter, Belfast Telegraph, CarSport Magazine, In Gear Magazine (who went out of business owing me a fortune), PaceNotes Newspaper, Motoring News and Autosport. I've since lost interest to a certain extent in photography, but I'm currently looking to get back into it, but am undecided in what field. Time will tell.

I'd like to meet:

I've been fortunate to have met some of my idols from the past and some really cool people. I met George Best, I've met Jimmy McRae, I've met Stig Blomqvist, and Markku Alen, and Colin McRae. I've met Dimebag, Pantera, Max and Igor Cavalera, John Bush, Joey Vera. I've even met Jo Guest. People most of you have probably never heard of. I'd love to met Anthrax some day, I'd also love to have met Cliff Burton (RIP). Someday, I'd love to meet Ms Eighteeschick. Someone I've spent a lot of time talking to online, but never met in real life. Maybe someday Michele.

Music:

The faster, louder, heavier the better. Anthrax number 1. Always has been, always will be. No matter what. Megadeth, early Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura. Too many to mention. But I really like some of the newer bands coming along. Bullet for my Valentine, Dragonforce, Trivium etc. My musical taste can also be wide and varied dependant on mood.

Movies:

I'm not a big film buff. I like comedies, but two of my favourite films of all time are The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Awesome films. I also like the American Pie films, and loved the film Ronin. Awesome car chase in that last one. Another favourite would be Caddyshack. But one of the funniest films I ever saw was Skin Deep. I'd love to see that one again, it was hilarious.

Television:

I watch too much TV. Either Paramount Comedy, Kerrang or Scuzz for music, and the Golf Channel. I love South Park, Two and a Half Men, Everybody loves Raymond, King of Queens, That 70's Show, and classic British comedy like Faulty Towers and Only Fools and Horses.

Books:

I'm not a big reader. Most of my books are all golf related.

My Blog

A bottle of pills and a box of tissues.

The Man Flu has taken hold, and I can honestly say that tonight, I've never felt worse. I'm absolutely dosed to the eyeballs with it. I'm a good sufferer, and I have what I'd call a very good immune s...
