Deceptakoncept is emerging from a mostly east coast background living most of his life in Florida, few years in Michigan, then had to get the fuck out to the West Coast to make shit happen. His influences range from Punk Rock to Metal, Hip Hop to Rap, and Techno to Reggae. His music is Self-Produced from beats, to Guitar, to DJing, to Rapping, and everything in between.
He's currently hitting up the San Diego Scene with beats and rhymes. His music is a combination of Hip Hop mixed in with a scorching touch of Punk Rock. As for the name, Deceptakoncept, and what it means. Its just that. Decept-a-Koncept. Dont believe everything you hear. Thinking and existing on deeper levels of the consciousness.
Deceptakoncept is off and running with his self-owned record label, Corporate Chaos Records , and also clothing line, Bong Street Clothing , supporting the legalization of marijuana. He believes in doing everything DIY. Fuck the haters. Fuck corporate radio. The first album is almost ready to drop. Expected drop date is sometime the end of 2007.
