How can you know the rage seething within my heart

About Me

When I was finally deemed ready for adulthood, our village elder told me: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That's what Friendster is really for, young one. Friendster is evil, childe. EVIIIIL!" Then he unceremoniously chopped off my foreskin. I cursed him until I eventually fainted from the pain. So on the day of my graduation from our tribal college, when I finally acquired my degree in English Studies, I told everyone gathered there: "Friendster, Shmrendster. You can't SEE me. For those of you who bothered, I suppose you mistook me for someone else." Since then, I switched to Myspace and the world became a better (and faster) place. I have become a firm believer in the saying: "Happy are they who have no teeth, for they are well loved." When I do die, I just hope I earned enough karma points to come back reincarnated as a giant panda that can understand human speech.Right now, among other things, I am a purveyor and adherent of Filipino popular culture, more commonly referred to in the vernacular as, uhm, "jologs." I have even written a dissertation about it and have requested the UP-Diliman Faculty to open up a new undergraduate general elective course: Jologology 101. It is my firm belief that one who does not take time knowing our old movies, TV shows, child stars and crass songs, are not true Filipinos. Many of us have come shun and lambast our popular culture, when deep inside, we yearn, we crave, because it is who we are. Is it not true that a number of us have resorted to elitism, the last bastion of denial? People like them are the reason why we have never reached national solidarity. Sure they're familiar, and are proud of knowing William Hung, but you never hear them talk about LA Lopez, or the JaBoom twins in the same smug way. This is exactly why, in my humble opinion, our country will continue to wallow in the malaise of not having a common, popular identity. Well, then. I apologize for being overly cryptic or just downright senseless. I don't suppose you'd like to describe yourself and be laughed at, huh?. What would you want me to say, then? Uhm, i suppose you'd like to hear/read: "Im juz simple person, down 2 earth. cayring, lovable, loyal and patience. I like fwendly people kasi fwendly din me, eh. I don't like plastic people(besides, who enjoys being friends with mannequins). I don't like also baskstubbers and backfighters, bad kasi yun, aight? And I don't want to be fwends with jologs people. That's so baduy, eh."Just in case you're curious, I just started a blog page, or whatever it's called, so visit it if you're really bored: http://www.xanga.com/ArkadyMac

A GOLD Dragon Lies Beneath!

My inner dragon is the most honorable of all. I enjoy shape-shifting, humans, and the occasional crusade to save the world. I'm what you might call a Draconic Knight. Click the image to try the Inner Dragon Online Quiz for yourself.

Mythology and folklore, Writing fiction, Philippine Occult studies, Anthropology, Tarot card reading, Kickboxing, Dr. Zoidberg, Playing obsolete PC games, Kaorin and Sakaki-san, Squeezing soft and furry animals, Dressing up in Genma Saotome's giant panda form, Prozak, Japanese Culture, Vampire, Wrestling, Fuuma Lei-Ar, Anni(from Shaider fame), Common perversions, Taking long walks to no particular destination, Playing basketball, Having nonsensical conversation with strangers online.

I'd like to meet:

SSSS...SSSSHHHHHHHHHH...SSSSSSSSSSSSSShaina..... Uhm, but seriously, I already gained the friendship of 1,500 or so individuals, to whom I am really grateful to have known and shared messages with. I'm a busy little instuctor who checks a bazillion Freshman English term papers a week, so please don't hate me if I don't get to answer everyone's messages on time. I DO want to know each and every one of you better. Despite continued protest from friends who assert that I collect only pretty women in my shameless profile, I contend that it's still way better (and more reasonable) than collecting pretty men. So for anyone out there who who'd take an interest in befriending a masochistic and downright looney English instructor, feel free to send me a message. And if it so happens that you're my student, I'll give you a +1 in your conduct grade if you read and remember everything in my long and pointless profile and pass a ten page reaction paper on the absurdity of online dating and networking sites. Class is dismissed. I'll see you next period by the swimming pool.Well, so much for that. I just wanted to be in Myspace so I can be friends with Shaina Magdayao online. Ah, yes, my dear, sweet Shaina. To you I pledge my love and my loyalty. You are the reason for my existence. If I were to give up all my 500 Friendster friends and 1,500+ Myspace friends, and keep just ONE, I'll certainly keep your account. I don't care if my devotion to you borders on the irrational (or illegal/pedophilial more like it) as long as I can be in the good graces of an angel such as yourself. Ah yes, you still reading? Very well, the eloquence in my fingers has yet to subside anyway. Shaina is living proof that angels do have names and pretty faces. I am disarmed by her simple elegance, that youthful innocence that drives me to the brink of obsession. How can eyes be more expressive than hers, a smile so wonderous that it melts even the coldest heart of an English Instructor who has long ceased stopped beating. Truly, Lady Shaina, your almost mystical existence is enough reason for me to cherish my own existence, that life can be as warm and pleasant as a bright midsummers day and ... uh ... uhm, dangnabbit. Was I rambling again? It is just my assumption that the people who I invite and people who invite me DON'T really read my profile. I just assume that 95% of people don't have the patience to hear what I have to say. Fine. Have it your way. You're missing out on a lot. So now I list the kinds of people who I'd most certainly LOVE to be friends with (towards the end of this section you'll eventually notice that this is a sarcastic remark) Ahem. I like to be friends with the following: 1)Backstubbers, and people who don't like backstubeers and backfighters as well 2)People who use the pictures of those Starstruck idiots 3)People who fill my bulletin board with a bazillion repetitions of the same post/message to add them in Friendster, Hipster, Pinoyster, Berkster, Whatever. Thank you so much! 4)People who give me comments with fancy yet useless html, images, soundfiles and text art/drawings that help slow down my profile loading. 5)pEoplE wHo wRItE LiKe dIs aNd tHoSe wHo jUSt lUv maH bAbeE gUrL so take caRez and Yngatzzz! 7)Well, practically everyone. I do enjoy and appreciate diversity and I've been raised to be a polite man. It's just my ardent wish that some people out there should at least be mindful of others. That being said, where's Shaina?

Music:

I really don't align myself with a particular genre of music. One moment I'm listening to grunge, then you'll find me humming an anime theme from Azumanga Daioh the next. But usually I'm predictable. On weekdays, anything loud, something from Pantera, Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Rage Against the Machine. On Saturdays there's good ol' Pearl Jam, Nirvana and STP. On Sundays, Dido, Fra Lippo Lippi and Lenny Kravitz make me warm and fuzzy inside. On holidays, I hit the ol' tape rack for sentimental music from MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Snow, Gerardo(Rico Suave), Jon Secada, Masta Plann, Peter Andre and Shaggy. While on rehab, they play that song by LA Lopez--"Ako ay nag...bahLIIIIK!" Oh, no, not again! Nurse!

Books:

Since a surprising lot of people claim to have read all of Tolkien's masterpieces and the Harry Potter series, I shall just feign ignorance lest I be accused of attempting to be "cool" or "in". Ahem. Me...can't...read. Does...it...have...movie...adaptayshun...ma'am?

Heroes:

1)MON TULFO! And I quote... "Bakla ka talaga, (Ping)Lacson. Para kang puwit ng manok, putak ng putak!" (Taken from an interview by Channel 2's Insider).******************2)LA LOPEZ! I don't know anyone, living, dead, undead or ethereal, that can cause anyone psychological damage with the mere thought of his existence. Also, I am willing to pay anyone 2,500 pesos for an episode of "Maalaala mo Kaya" that guested LA Lopez and Mystica. I swear, even if ten gods strike me dead--it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. LA Lopez "pretending" to be drunk. Bwakhakhakhakhak. Too bad I got scarred for life.**********************3)RAINIER OF STARSTRUCK! Your enchanting and endearing smile has captured the hearts of millions ... but not me. Nooooo sir. are my rival, my nemesis, the thorn in my side. I will never, ever, let you have all the girls. Hear me, pretty boy?! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!4)SHAINA_MAGDAYAO! Let me help you and GIR take over this filthy, smelly stink world and punish the human dirt babies and their equally filthy larvae.
