No doubt born for the love of music, Less'Noise (Fher Rivera), has taken a very strict, thin line of delicious, dirty sounds and combined them with an extraordinary fusion of Dub, Breaks, Progressive, House, and Techno, among other sensual ingredients, to create mixes so full of life and energy as to be instantly identifiable.
After 18 years of musical trajectory, Fher has been involved with many projects since he owned his first guitar at the age of 10. Fher played bass guitar with a local rock band when he was 13, and joined a new age orchestra when he was 15. In 1998, at the age of 18, he traded in his drum kit and guitars for his first pair of turntables and turned to the electronic music scene. Soon after he became an icon inside the local electronic scene and later headlined important events in Mexico and the United States, including his own radio show from one of the most important radio stations of New York city, Downshift Radio. Broadcasting world wide, Downshift has gained thousands of listeners around the globe as well as the respect from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Dave Seaman, Chris Fortier, Infected Mushroom and James Zabiela, to name a few.
Less'Noise is the first and most important project Fher Rivera has created as a single artist, focusing his talent, passion and love for music on a new album and singles to be released in the second half of 2009.
At the end of 2007, Less'Noise began production on a live electronic act with friend and awesome Industrial vocalist/solo artist JHelix (Jeff Gatto), who has been compared to Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson, Gary Numan, and Orgy. JHelix's song “The One†was placed as the third track on the nationally distributed “Buzzlighter 2: The Machines That Feed Us†compilation from Shut Eye Records. Combining live vocals and keyboards, the JHelix/Less'Noise project will certainly break new ground in the International electronic music scene.
Fher Rivera's personal and collaborative performances have shined with intense sets that have left partygoers longing for more. Stimulating all the senses and inspiring an atmosphere of sensual energy, his music and his vibe have set the mood at many events with artists from labels like Global Underground, Yoshitoshi, Bedrock, Viva Music, Hope Recordings, Saw Recordings, and many others. Fher Rivera has shared the stage with diverse projects and djs like Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Christopher Lawrence, Nick Warren, Hector Romero, Ralph Falcon, Nigel Richards, Scott Hardkiss, Infusion, Anthony Pappa, Nortec Collective, Astro&Glyde, Sean Cusick, Steve Porter and many more.
