Kagah Online Promo Kit
Biography
Being raised in Spokane, WA for almost his entire life, Kagah noticed that hip hop/rap of any sort would be hard to go over in a city filled with Heavy Metal bands and a somewhat non-existant rap scene. He forged ahead.
Working within the confines of a group in the start of his career, Kagah qucikly shown his writing skills and abilities to lace together a deep and collective story in almost all of his rhymes. This group within a two month period created a 9 track demo CD which was in small circulation around the Spokane area. After nearly two years in this group and nothing being made of it, Kagah went solo and went to record his first album.
With dark and often violent rhymes, Kagah released his untitled debut E.P. in October of 2004. With heavy promotion throughout Spokane and performing at house parties the album has since sold out. The album was given a review by writer Leah Sottile in an issue of "The Inlander".
At the start of 2006, Kagah started working on his follow up album, "6ix 6ick 6ongs (Six Sick Songs)" as well as group ventures such as (the now disbanded) UnHaLLoWeD, N*A*R*P, and DYAD. "6ix 6ick 6ongs" was appropriately released on 06-06-06 featuring guest spots by Canadian rappers Morges & Kourt Jezter, Vancouver, WA rapper Illicit (who also did the bulk of production on the album) and the Portland, OR rap group Cadaverz on Kitestrings. The release was once again cause for heavy promotion in not only Spokane but: Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Kelowna, BC. And since it's release date has sold numerous copies locally, regionally, as well as internationally through hand to hand exchange as well as through the internet.
In early 2007, the group DYAD (featuring Kagah and local Spokane rapper ILL 1) kick started the year with multiple shows and released a free 11 track mixtape named "Other Sides of the Fence". This mixtape was completely different than anything Kagah or ILL 1 had previously released. Met with great acclaim the duo performed a myriad of shows in a two month period. DYAD later disbanded in June of 2007 in pursuit of their own projects.
Kagah is now working on his third new album entitled "Moving Forward". This album will be the biggest Kagah has put out to date. This full length album will feature guest appearances by underground rap legend Esham from Detroit, MI and Nortwest hip hop heavyweight Neema of Unexpected Arrival from Seattle. "Moving Forward" will also have features from other underground rap artists both regionally and nationally. "Moving Forward" is not only the name of the album, it's Kagah's state of mind at present time as he is steadily moving forward with no signs of stopping in sight.
Stage Show:
Kagah sets himself apart from other rap acts locally with an extremely energetic stage presence. Where most typical rap artists have to keep their composure on stage in fear of losing their "hard" and "thuggish" appeal, KaGaH interacts with the crowd and keeps them hyped throughout his set. Whether onstage rocking a show or out promoting, KaGaH keeps within reach of his fans/supporters. Also, KaGaH's versatility has gained him allies in different spectrums of the rap genre as well as rock working with artists locally, regionally, and internationally.
