Layout Pimper.comWire Vein is a recent Dark Electro Industrial project founded by Rick Sandoval along with Mao Pimental. Rick started as a metal guitarist back in the early 90s in a band called Sarcophagus which later became Obscurity. At the time he was fascinated with the sound artistry of Skinny Puppy who used synthesizers and samplers, so he left the group in 1992 to pursue his own industrial music project. He teamed up with Eric McMahon, a vocalist who was influenced by GodFlesh and Pitchshifter, and their sound combined both of their influences. The music consisted of tribal beats, heavey guitars and sampled political phrases from documentaries. The group ceased to exist due to conflict of interest and Rick moved on as a soloist. Aquiring new synthesizers, and solidifying his skills in sound design, Rick began composing new songs and has recruited Mao Pinentel on vocals to form Wire Vein.
