Watch out haters… Atlanta, GA (Adamsville) native C-Smooth (Corey), after “taking a break for a couple years,” as he says on his new single “You Already Know,” is back on the come-up. The former Da Organization and current ChamDon & Dungeon Family member is refocused and re-energized for 2007,2008 working on hard on his solo debut.C-Smooth has seen his share of successes in his long career, debuting and started out working with local artist "Pac Da Great" 1996-97. As a member of bass music upstarts Da Organization in 1997. The group’s first and only album “Can’t Stop No Player” spawned two regional anthems that will forever live on as classics, “Get That Bitch” and the endearing title track.From there, he got down with Atlanta’s legendary Dungeon Family, working on projects with Slimm Calhoun and Backbone, and appearing on the Dungeon Family album “Even In Darkness.”His group Da Connect, headed by DF chief Rico Wade of Organized Noize, signed a deal with Dreamworks Records, but the deal never materialized. They instead went the independent route, releasing their self-titled debut on an independent label headed by Wade’s uncle. The album is regarded as a cult classic, with all five group members (C-Smooth and G-Rock of ChamDon, along with Boulevard Intl., Meathead and Infinique Da Geechy Boy) spitting over classic Organized Noize beats. The album featured guest appearances from Dungeon Family members Khujo Goodie, Backbone, Big Gipp, Witchdoctor and Bubba Sparxxx, and even a memorable guest appearance from fan favorite Ludacris on “Georgia Dome.”In 2007,2008 C-Smooth is “taking control of his own destiny,” grinding hard as a solo artist, determined to become a household name in the rap game of which he’s been a part of for over 10 years already. With reflective tracks such as "Yell Right"and "Big Banks Big Rims" the anthemic “You Already Know,” his goal should not be far off.
