I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Two tickets to see Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders...$24.00 (bargain) T-shirt and CD...$30.00. Meeting the band, getting autographs and then telling your big brother what HE missed...Well, I may not be in his list of heroes but I did notice that my picture has been moved to top billing in his "my friends" list...uber cool. Then there was Juliette and the Licks. You need to see this band! Much thanks to Ed Davis for introducing Henry to Juliette. To be invited on the bus...that is like the holy grail to a 9 year old. Just so you know, your sticks are getting daily use. Thank you Juliette for taking the time to sign Henry's shirt and CD! Much heart felt appreciation for your kindness and your time. What an incredible night! Next wish...to meet Dave Grohl...

My Interests

Have a look around. Check out my friends. You'll get the idea. If you need a road map, here it is. I am into photography, music and art. Well, that is the short version of the story. I can not sing, play an instrument, paint, draw or sculpt. I like to write and I can take a decent photograph, or so I have been told. Below you will find some of my concert images. Look for Juliette and the Licks. A show you do not want to miss.

I'd like to meet:

We've already met...

Music:

My first job was for The Record Factory. Yeah that's right, round vinyl discs with hiss and pop. Have a great appreciation for all music. Have to tell you though I have never been able to tolerate country music, (Willie Nelson excluded of course) it is about par with that get on your nerves in a hurry pan flute crap you hear anywhere in the vicinity of Guatamalan sweaters and hemp purses. Angry rock, alternative, progressive, some trip hop or industrial seem to do the trick for me most of the time. Ok, so some bad ass angry rockin country can be good too...I have added some of the bands that I am into on my site. Some are there just beacuse they amuse me. Others are yet to be discovered and some are slow to accept friend requests. I have found so many great as yet to be "discovered" bands on My Space. Radio stations would have you belive that there are only 10 working bands worth listening to. Between this site and my Sirius radio I am a pretty happy girl. Everyday is like shipment day at the old Record Factory.

Movies:

Dogma. Jay and Silent Bob rule. The song "Rollin" featured in the video on the right side there was a collaboration between my man (#1 in my friends) and Matt Barrett. They have more stuff. I'll let you find it...

Television:

I do not watch TV anymore. I am too busy hanging out with my man. Every night is date night now and TV is just not what we are doin'. I was a big fan of Miami Ink. I am really into art of all kinds and I admire people who are passionate about living their art and making art their living. Kat, I'm a virgin. Please be my first.

Heroes:

My personal heroes? Answering that would suggest that I have been saved...I believe I have been given the responsibility to place my own yellow mask on first...

Just a Thought

When we feel the ground beneath us shifting, we panic. We forget everything we know and allow fear to freeze us. What I know for sure is that the way to endure the quake is to adjust your stance. Thes...
