About Me

I guess people call me stix (pronounced sticks as in drum sticks) because I've pretty much beat my way through life using of course drum sticks. Ha Ha.I'VE PLAYED IN MANY BANDS ALL ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD AND SETTLED IN 1991 IN ALABAMA, PLAYING WITH SOUTHLAND BAND. I've had the opportunity to do many things in my life that I thought I would never do, such as from 1987 thru 2002 owned & bred a string of race horses that raced around the eastern half of the United States from Kansas, to Louisiana, all over Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, & Alabama. We've won almost 70 races with numerous 2nds & 3rds. After racing, many of these horses went on to participate in Hunter Jumper & Dressage competitions.I've played with bands in Hawaii twice in Barbados once, in Alaska, Texas & dear old Mexico. I've had the opportunity to open for & meet The bands Montgomery/Gentry, The Grass Roots, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,John Anderson,Marshal Tucker Band, Firefall. I had the opportunity to work with Larry Butler (Producer) on Southland's last CD. (Larry Butler is a 2 time grammy winning producer for his efforts producing Kinny Rogers LP's with hits like Lucille, She Believes In me, The Gambler, Love or Something like it, You Decorated my Life, & Coward of the County).I now live on a small farm & enjoy playing Clubs & festivals around Alabama with my band Southland...
