An Indie/Folk/Acoustic band from the Midwest

About Me

Angels Look Down considers itself a fairly young project. While Doug and Brian were close friends throughout their time at Capital University, and often threw joint parties, they only united, musically, this past August, 2006. Brian only recently departed from his college band October and post-college collaboration Old Phoebe with Berklee Grad, Dan Shanahan. With Dan leaving for Dublin, Doug & Brian thought: Why not? They threw down a couple of covers of Better than Ezra and Josh Rouse, and were off.Angels found themselves, however, bursting at the seams with original musical ideas. They quickly began writing and recording, from the very beginning. It was at that time they decided to officially set-up shop, get a name, a website, and so on.Angels Look Downs music was originally set out to be of the Indie/Folk nature. While this remains their basis, it really branches into any genre that most influences them at the time. It can range from Ryan Adams, Josh Rouse, Iron & Wine, to bands like Sigur Ros, Dashboard, and Copeland. This profile was edited with The CricketSoda Myspace Editor
