Mickey was born in Natchez, MS and eventually moved to Tallulah, LA where he grew up and graduated high school.
At 17 he joined the U.S. Army. After almost nine years in the service, Mickey fulfilled his obligation to the military and got out to pursue his dream of becoming a country music singer.
Mickey now lives in San Antonio, TX with his lovely wife and two beautiful daughters. By day he is a civil service civilian in the military intelligence field. By night he's a struggling artist determined to do a little more with his music than people expected him to.
Mickey tried out for the first season of Nashville Star and lost in the Houston finals to Miranda Lambert who is now one of country music's rising stars. Since then he's been in the studio and shamelessly promoting himself to anybody that will listen. He's performed on the San Antonio morning television show "Great Day S.A." twice. He recently performed at a fund raiser for Katrina victims as well. Mickey continues to try and perfect his craft. Until the big break comes along, keep him in your prayers and stay in touch.
