Dick Wiggler and the Cattle Guards came together over a Willie Nelson/George Jones song, "Gotta Get Drunk". The title set the tone and the calling for this band. "The Calbakes started learnig country songs. Thats what we all grew up on. Hell we (The Calbakes) have been playing Whiskey Bent & Hellbound by Hank Jr. for years. Basically its The Calbakes with Dick singing. So the song Gotta Get Drunk, was the perfect first song for the band to learn, play, and well,...live".Dick Wiggler likes to wiggle and wiggle and wiggle, country on 78!! His band was put together over years and years of empty beer cans and whiskey bottles. The band consist of players from various San Antonio punk and blues bands. Mike percell (Delta Blue, Mike Casbeers and the Rythem and Blues Review) has been smacking the drums for well over 20 years.
Doug Nelson ( Psyhoholics and more) has been playing bass for over 25 years.
Fred Fechter cranks out the lead with 15 years behind him. He has been in numerous bands. He has played gigs with the Big Boys and numerous other bands that jumped started punk rock in Texas.
Justin Myres( Jct 549) has over 15 years on rhythm guitar.
