I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm an insufferable optimist with a tendency towards ironic contemplation. I'll as soon make fun of myself as anyone else. I value alone time, but love my friends.

I love lightning storms, popcorn, music, and my boyfriend.

I hate sales people calling me, spiders, heights, and temperatures of above 30 degrees. (That would be Celsius) Create or get your

My Interests

I pretend to be an artist; painting, drawing, photography - you name it, I probably love it. I'm also a book worm, and I'm addicted to music.

I'd like to meet:

On MySpace: People I have things in common with, people I can talk to and laugh with.

In general: Not much of a celebrity stalker, I'm afraid to say. :) I can enjoy their work, but I've no desire to meet the artist. I wouldn't know what to say. Guess "I love your work" seems a bit redundant if you've been waiting for hours to see them. :)

I'd want to meet my lost loved ones, and tell them the things I didn't have time to before they died.

Music:

Most kinds, but a preference to rock. Hiphop makes my head hurt, and the feminist in me want to commit murder.

I listen to GÃ¥te, A Perfect Circle, Nickelback, Three days grace, Audioslave, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Default, Seether, Tool, Pink Floyd, Linkin Park, The Beatles, Chevelle, and several others. I don't think I have one clear favorite. However, this is my motto:

There's only two kinds of music: the kind I like, and the kind that's crap.

Movies:

Action flicks, adventure, some comedy. (More of the dry British humor kind than the Jim Carrey kind)

Television:

My eyes should be going square any second now...

Avid Joss Whedon-fan. Other favorites include Farscape, Futurama, Grey's Anatomy, Monarch of the glen, That 70's show, CSI, and probably heaps more I can't remember.

Books:

Love a good fantasy book, but my interest is not limited to such literature. However I do prefer something completely unrealistic (with a happy ending), as I view reading as escapism. I don't want to be reminded of how much the world sucks when I read.

My Blog

Why can't all my friends be bored when I am?

I'm loving my voice now - raspy and sexy, haha. The constant dripping from my nose, not so much. Leaning more towards the unsexy side, I think.  And to top it off, I can't be bothered to do anyth...

Moving day

There's something sad about packing all your belongings. Moving from a rented apartment and into your very own. From one stage of your life and into another.I'm supposed to be settled for life now. Go...

There'll be no blowing things up this year

Halloween happiness

We've entered the dress-up month, and I'm impatient for the 31st to arrive. Not just because it's Halloween, of course. Mostly because it's my birthday. But the best part is getting to dress up withou...

The fever is frying my brain cells, but at least I have a boyfriend who can cook

Being sick does have some advantages. Namely, one is not expected to participate in kitchen duty. Boyfriend is currently preparing some delicious-smelling meat products, potatoes and chanterelles, acc...

Twenty degrees below sane

Summer has made an unexpected (and most unwanted) return. Just as the temperatures were dropping to within my comfort zone. Wonderful. I know I should be happy that it's sunny and beautiful outside, a...

Germs, anyone? *cough*

I suppose it's better that I get sick now, than during the work week. Oh, the joy of spending a Saturday night on the couch or in front of the computer, because you're too weak to do anything else. *w...
